Hi Niki! I had to stop the video just at 4 minutes in to comment and tell you that the recommendation the doctor gave you is not the correct management for scoliosis at your age and circumstances!!! The first line treatment is physical therapy, NOT limiting activity! Please see a different doctor ❤❤ wishing you all the best 😊

Egg whites have 2x more protein than the yolk. They are still very nutritious, but yes, sometimes I will add 1-2 egg yolks as well depending on what my body is craving

My mom has guided me more with training pre and post-partum (that’s her expertise). I was able to find a lot of strength building exercises for my back and core on KZbin and Instagram myself. I started integrating them into my progressive overload workouts to optimize my results 🫶🏻

I don’t understand with scoliosis and back pain you solved it with more protein and strength training that’s it?

Unfortunately, it’s not that simple. Back pain (and any pain generally) is very case specific and there are so many variables. I will always have scoliosis but the fact that I had weak muscles surrounding my lower spine made my back pain a lot worse. Building muscle and strengthening the muscles that support my lower spine has helped me reduce my pain by 90-95%. I still have pain every day but it is so much better than it’s been since this all started and it’s allowing me to live my life with more vitality. I hope that makes sense

I have a fracture in my L1 and exercise and healthy eating have kept me pain free. I used to be in so much pain that I'd need a cane to help me walk around the house.
