Yes! I wasn't so lucky. It's more humiliating to find out years later that your spouse and an old flame never ended their relationship. He believed my pride and aversion to scandal would keep me from divorcing him. It was, indeed, humiliating but, I did end our marriage. I avoided scandal by only saying that we wanted different things from life. Ms. Elman chose to air more details. Proof that we each chose to respond to deception in our own way.

I think most importantly, other than telling your family to get over the relationship, as soon as you find out someone’s cheated feelings you had for that person completely diminishes naturally! Without trust you can’t have a relationship, it’s the foundation and once that has broken the relationship will be unstable. She is right when you protect the children,me and my ex did not talk about his cheating to the childre! Actually quite amicably for the sake of the kids, it’s been over 12 years since we broke up. I wouldn't say on national tv you still love the person that cheated on you. That's only going to inflate their ego. She is a life coach but she looks and behaves too nice, too naive. I'm not talking about revenge or being negative, I'm talking about knowing your self-worth. I've never been on a relationship but every single person I know ( women and men ) are a cheater or they have been cheated on. Don't inflate their ego. Poor Girl. But my advice as someone who uses dating apps myself is you need more time to build trust with someone. I would never consider moving in with someone only a year after meeting them on a dating app. If it's someone you met through your social circle or were already friends with then that's different. But you really need to take more time with someone you met through the Internet because this is how you can get hurt.

Not going on your partner's phone? That sounds strange to me. I use my husband's phone for google search or taking pictures sometimes when I don't have my phone handy and yes sometimes I do check his messages as I found my ex-husband on a dating app. There is nothing wrong with getting a bit of reassurance. It's better than being naive and gullible and being fooled over - losing your precious fertile young years to a man that isn't worth it if you do find out he is a cheater.
@petrasworld9135 ай бұрын
If you believe you have to check your partner's phone then the trust is already gone. That's her point.

If you think it’s okay to go through your partners phone you are toxic. Why can’t you use your own phone and respect your husbands space? I have been cheated on myself and never once did I ever go through his phone. I knew he was deceiving me but did i go through his phone? Nope. I told him how i felt and when he wasn’t reassuring me I dumped him. And later was told by someone he had cheated on me. If you are going through your partners phone you are insecure and need therapy. I hope your partner gets some brain cells and leaves you. Because he’s with someone who can’t even trust him
