I've been to Kenya twice and as I write I'm scoping out tickets to return. I have real friends in your lovely country. When I saw your Matatus( route buses) with Jamaican reggae artists emblazoned on them, I was impressed. Then when I watched your Kenyan TV and saw full fledged programs all about reggae music and Jamaican artists I was blown away. In Kenya if you say you're Jamaican, you're shown REAL love and respect. They got you. I hope many other Kenyans ( and fellow Africans who are curious) will visit Jamaica too and experience the genuine love Jamaicans have for our Kenyan(African) brothers and sisters. ❤

@@globallibran378 Yeah if Jamaicans watch our TV/radio shows and see just how crazy we are about reggae, "blown away" is the reaction I expect. I don't know why we're so obsessed with Jamaica, but I personally can name maybe 100 reggae artists off the top of my head. When I lived in the US for school, I never missed reggae festivals, and I used to go to Jamaican restaurants. Reggae used to remind me of home when I got homesick. My latest video upload shows the former Kenyan president saying that his favorite musicians are Jamaican reggae artists.

@@panafrican.nation awesome to hear. I am in daily contact with my friends in Kenya. One recently named their child after me since our bond is so strong. I'm assuming you returned since you said 'when you lived in USA '. Good for you. Kenya is magical. I'm living in a a part of the US which may be little Kenya, as many are here..lol. But of note is there is a reggae concert series here which is being promoted by Kenyans. I went to one and the crowd was rocking..lol...I was highly intrigued. We are Africans my sister and will never apologize for being so. We shall continue to fight the fight for our liberation worldwide because we are not truly free as a people. Let the rest of our families on the motherland know we send greetings and love from this small Island where we had been through horrors (the ancestors) because of colonization. See you soon sister. Kind, jovial, warm, funny, inviting, LOVING PEOPLE!!! You have awakened us to look deep into our hearts and confirm we the people of Jamaica are blessed to live in a beautiful and bountiful country, the Land We All Love! It took you Shorn an OUTSIDER, a sister/daughter/long lost friend we needed to come to our shores, and open our eyes to our under-appreciated selflessness. Shorn/Sharon, WE LOVE YOU and MISS YOU! I am a so called Jamaican.. I like your comment..one people ancestors came on slave ships..scattered in the islands.... and throughout the world... they changed our identity.... called us other names.... and did a good work of dividing us.... now the MOST HIGH our GOD.... is bringing us back together as a NATION.....as the AUTHENTIC ISRALITES

My dear Shorn, thank you so much for coming to my island home, Jamaica. Girl you made me cry when you left. I found myself singing; Harry Belafonte's, Jamaica Farewell. You are a true empress and I admire your vibes. You are a breath of fresh air and although I have never met you in person, I feel like I have. I share in your fun, laughter and your tears. Thank you so much for highlighting my beautiful island, people and culture and thanks to my people for taking care of you. Special big up to our Dee, Kino and Esther. Please come again. May God watch over you and family. Nuff love and blessing. I am a retiree with all the time in the world to watch your videos. 😂😂❤
