Great to see that you got a gift from members of your local church. Not a real value on the U.S. postage stamps because most of them are newer and postmarked. Concerning the mint pieces like the Love and the Emily Dickinson stamp: they are from the early 70s, face value, you can also use them for your personal postage. Most stamps are worthless, even 100 year old stamps. I sold my grandparents stamp collection from 1962 going back to confederate stamps. All 60 sold on eBay for a whopping $5.75! Most were from 1860’s-1930’s.

The used stamps can be valuable, depending on color, perforations, and how they are centered. The most valuable will be unused stamps

Yes there is, I wished I lived close to you, I would be happy to help you. I lost several books of stamps in the flood of 2016 in louisiana. The estimated value was about $700.00
