No beaver already had his name changed twice before, when he first started JWA he was not using thegamingbeaver name because someone already took it, so Ludia removed who ever took it and beaver used his second time to change it to thegamingbeaver, then this hacker changed it the third and final time. But beaver can just contact JamCity/Ludia and they can reset his 3 names, they did it for me.

What a way to start the 2024 JWA series! I love the fact that the hacker wasn't mean spirited at all, and instead of messing around, actually did you a favor, haha. Maybe they saw that you did less JWA content and wanted to help you out with the missions, lol. But there is also a valueable lesson here. Never spend more money on these games than you're willing to lose. Not only can the devs decide to close the servers any minute, but also you can get hacked, and your hacker might not be as friendly as this one. It's probably good to keep that in mind. Honestly I feel like with all these interesting (debatable I know) and different creatures with these attacks and abilities the devs could make some kind of interesting MOBA or maybe battle royal. But the thing with MOBAs is they typically have 5 classes, with 2 being ranged, and while I think the classic classes like support, assassin, and warrior could be translated from dinosaurs and prehistoric animals something like a mage or hunter that are typically ranged would be more difficult to make out of animals in general nonetheless something like a saber-tooth or dinosaur. Then a battle royal with tons of different characters wouldn’t exactly be a new take, one that focuses on melee combat could be interesting (please tell me if I’m unaware of a melee heavy BR 😅)

19:55 I played this game shortly after it came out, and it didn’t take me long to start despising the game for its battle system. I’ve always loved the concept where you can hunt for dinosaurs, gather DNA and I absolutely adore the AR system. Although in my eyes, Ludia relied too much on its battle system and to me doesn’t seem to care whether if the battle system makes sense or not, and the thought of that makes me sad the more I thought about it. Every time I got involved with some sort of battle, I would always lose, and that especially didn’t help when new updates kept making the whole battle system more and more complex. I felt like I was going nowhere at times. I haven’t played the game in years because of that. Looking back on these JPB, JWTG and JWA, I’ve noticed a pattern that the battle systems for each game personally to me got more and more complex over the years. And, as fun as it is interacting with other players in a multiplayer fashion, I think these games would be better without something so rage inducing. They feel more simple and fun without them, and this is coming from someone who played Jurassic Park: Builder before these battle systems were even a thing to begin with. If they're going to add something like this, then they have to get it just right.

As someone who’s played the game for years and even spent some money, I still play every day. I personally enjoy the grind trying to get all the new dinosaurs and progress in the arena despite all odds but the game is just a mess now. Trying to get boosts for your team is a struggle, the refund penalty means you can’t easily switch your team around it super pay to win and now with Jam City constantly shoving omegas down our throats that nobody wants this has kind of been the last straw for me. I feel your pain trying to play and have fun with the game. Hopefully Jam City sees this video and cleans their act up.

I have played the game for a while. I'm getting my first uniques. I'm not really bothered with getting good, I'm just doing some battles here and there and doing my missions. Although sometimes it feels like I am stuck in a place and I can't get out of it. I have been at the top of games and then they lift the ceiling and after that I play them for a little while, but then just stop, because you can't get to the top, without spending 12 hours a day on it. For jwa I'm just taking it slow and relaxed, even if it can get kinda boring, because I need to wait months to get something new.

I remember playing this game years ago. Around 2018 I think. Struggled in battles like remember the Common Velociraptor was a big problem to face against most of the time? There's also some players who have higher level dinosaurs on their team than mine which I was outmatched and kept going back to a previous rank. And especially how random it is to earn an amount of trophies after winning like sometimes I get little, sometimes I get plenty. With losing, sometimes I lose little to most trophies more than the amount of trophies I would get after winning. I gave up the game and quit forever.

I've played Jurassic World Alive since it was first created in 2018. It's appalling that after how dedicated I've been to the game also spending real money at times, I struggle to stay in the Gyrosphere Depot during battles. Omegas are killing the game because they are the most grind-heavy dinos but also kind of the best dinos so all the "whales" get them fast and just like Beaver said, the ceiling continues to get higher. It's a travesty. I play it because I love dinosaurs and Jurassic Park. But there are many days where I question why I continue to grind this game...

I can totally relate to this... I used to play world of warcraft almost every minute of every day... and then one day I found other things more interesting, and then I noticed I wasn't playing much at all... I didn't like the new content.. it didn't interest me and I couldn't be bothered keeping up with "the latest things", I plodded on for another few years chilling, doing dailys every few days.. and then one day I realized I'd not played in 3 weeks. Stopped paying for it and moved on. It was a huge part of my life, but it's not anymore. Part of growing up is exactly as you did Beaver, you've (for lack of better words) put it into a holding pattern and have moved on to other things. It's odd that it semi-coincided with your account being hacked, but sometimes you need something to jolt your reality check. Don't see this as a bad thing, but more as something you can look back on fondly and show that you've moved on to different and more interesting things.

Honestly, sorry your account got hacked James, but I agree with the point of your video. You shouldn't keep playing a game that is pay to win and isn't worth your time especially if you aren't having fun anymore. I honestly had a similar problem to stop playing with the game. I enjoyed it being different to Pokémon go, but sadly the focus on PVP and the game becoming pay to win drove a wedge for me to enjoy it. It's a shame that if I was to come back to the game, I'd be nowhere near completing the game let alone getting all the creatures I'm missing. But I'm better off without the game, I haven't missed it since I stopped playing it and I don't feel any remorse. As a player who came across to this game about 2 weeks ago, I'm enjoying this game too much that I alr spent $1000. I don't regret it 'yet' bc everything is new to me atm. It's quite sad u, Beaver, has softly ended putting up more videos about the game (I played Park Builder and World the Game along with u). I do have a diff opinion on JWA from the majority of players, but also do agree on the game can improve for sure rather than making it a complete P2W. Even tho i'm a noob, I watched how JWTG collapsed after introducing multiple ridiculous overpowered hybrids consecutively like Yudon. I just hope JWA do not repeat it but learned smth from their own failure which is expected to be seen in JWA some time soon as well.

I went through the same thing recently with a strategy game (State of Survival). I kinda softly stopped. And this year, I officially stopped playing it. A friend gave me advice and basically said that whilst on another server that he started playing a different game (Genshin Impact) saying that it was better. More relaxing. And also didn't require as much attention. I am not saying you should play it or not play it. But I lost interest in mobile strategy games. And I loved games like Fire Emblem. So it's alright to take a break or not want to return. I recommend that you find something you enjoy.

Honestly the only real downside of this right now is James having to change passwords or tighten up security on his account and making him unable to upload content on the events they completed for him. As a f2p it’s gotten ridiculously hard to keep up. I was doing missions every day, grinding, got a top meta team, and I’ve almost got pteranokyrie and atrocodistis at 30, but now they’re not the best thing anymore, and I basically have to restart if I ever wanna win a battle again

This game is obviously supposed to be like Pokémon Go and that game is still very fun too me and that because Pokémon has been a big part of my life and same with Jurassic park and dinosaurs but something about JWA is that it’s repetitive you don’t really have to move anywhere to catch anything and it seems far to easy to get certain things I stopped playing around 5 months ago. I feel like I understand you when you say the game doesn’t feel as fun anymore, and I feel like the main reason is that you basically have all the things, and can get whatever you want, and maybe to help with that, (if you want) start a fresh save slot, with some other account link, maybe even free to play, but yeah as you play the game, progressing again and again, until you just get to the point that you don’t need to get anything at all

i remenber when i first started playing back in 2018 it was really fun and i loved this game, i still remenber when i had almost all the normal dinos (no hybrids) and the last one was the Pachycephalosaurus, and when i was going to school i found one, that was the thing that i loved about the game finding and getting new dinos, i never was a pvp guy but i liked doing the battle events, but with the time i didnt wanted to grind so i stopped playing and only enter to get the new normal dinos, as of today is been 3 months since i stopped playing i still feel like coming back but it would be just to get the new species

I will definitely say that progression is slightly faster and a little more noticeable, than JW the game for me. but the metas just won’t stop and I’m not having fun trying to get through arenas anymore, I have my phases for this game at times but it’s just not worth the time anymore.

I think i started playing JWA in 2018. Back then i really enjoyed going outside and was always excited discovering new dinos. There weren't all THAT many hybrids back then and grinding for them was fun in a sense. I pretty much stopped playing almost altogether pretty much couple years ago? Made it clear to my then Alliance that i was quite unmotivated. Just started to feel like such a chore to ty and keep up with the meta, battling and trying to get better. Felt stuck. Also thing that did a number on me in a sense i presume was the fact, that when adding new dinos, they started adding their hybrids and hybrids hybrids at the same time. And felt like it was getting REALLY grindy, almost sometimes impossible to get the 'dna' needed for them. Way too much at the same time. Could go on for more but..yeah

Even tho the hacker didn't do bad things really i'm still kinda sorry, that's something that just shouldn't happen. You're free to play and do whatever you want (as long as there's some Thel Isle and Path of Titans in between!! /j) , and i'll always be happy to watch whatever you do! Honestly, for me the game already started losing its fun when they added all these new boost things. It was lovely when it was a simple silly little dino collecting thing, a bit of fighting here and there and that's it, but no it's gotten to a point where i wouldn't go back to my old acc and play again. So i can absolutely understand if you don't wanna play it.
