The big buck was called the McCoupin buck. It roamed around Clinton Lake in Illinois. My cousin had him in a bow only area at 50 yards. That was before the bow technology of today. He didn't even have what was current at the time. I think it was a rummage sale bow. But it had worked several times before.

We use a set of jumper cables and make 4 anchors for the boat. Mount 1 end of the cable to the boat then all ya gotta do is clamp to a limb until you are done. Works great.
