Tips I would give to new players: To help underaiming, I increased my cursor size, because it's a lot easier to fit a large circle into another circle than fit a small circle in the middle of a big circle. For helping with stream reading, use an "instafade" skin ( a skin which uses "default" skin numbers as the hitcircles, the circles dissapear instantly) PLAY. MORE. Experiment with other tablet areas, big or small. Some people stick with one tablet area from the beginning and get used to it, but it's better to find a comfortable area than get used to an uncomfortable one. If your singletapping speed is slower than you'd like, (and if you're not already doing this), try the "wrist tapping" technique, where you use your whole wrist to tap instead of just using your fingers. BE CAREFUL with this!!! Make SURE you stretch first. I played for a while like this without stretching and it caused me intense wrist pain, and can also lead to RSI very early. PLEASE!! STRETCH!!!! Google some stretches you can do and MAKE SURE you do them before you play, even if you're just playing casually. It's hard to give generalized advice, because most advice is tailored specifically for each player (such as hold sliders longer if you're dropping ends frequently, etc.) but I hoped this helped!

As someone who struggles with stream speed, grip, and nerves this helped a lot :)

@FunOrange424 жыл бұрын
4:48 It would have been good advice if notelock weren't in the game. So if you ignore the current notes you're missing and prepare to click the notes ahead, you'll probably get notelocked if you don't deliberately time your taps late, otherwise the previous circles will still be active and you'll get notelocked to death. Hopefully this illustrates how absolutely stupid of a mechanic notelock is.

The problem I have is that no mouse is designed for playing Osu! If we were to continue using the very un-ergonomic design that is regular mice, then to make it designed for Osu!, it'd really need a curved plate to rest your thumb and pinky on, so that if you were to lift your hand straight up, the mouse wouldn't be at risk of falling out of your hand because the palm is sweaty. Not having that friction between the thumb, pinky and mouse-pad would be so fucking great as well. If you were to design a better ergonomic mouse, which would be inherently great for playing Osu!, it'd be a vertical mouse with curved plates for the individual fingers to rest in, and a base plate for the side of the hand to lie on while holding it. It'd look like you were a child drawing with a crayon if you were to use it though, but the greatly lowered risk for wrist injuries is worth it. And it'd be like combining the best of using a tablet with the best of using a mouse. Man I wish there were gaming vertical mice.
