I have friends from across the globe, some of which are multilingual, and they all have an uncanny ability to gradually mimic the dialect of the region they’re in. I genuinely hypothesise that’s in some sort of survivalist behaviour or adaptation. She probably isn’t even aware she’s doing it 😂. Anyways, like I said, not trying to belittle your experience. I’m genuinely just curious about why it occurs, because I’ve seen it happen in multiple instances.
