I gotta say, I watched the entire video without pause and as concerned I am for his choice of words regarding his view on sex, his ruthlessness against his ex is comedy gold. And as for his adopted daughter Carrie he did the right and healthy choice. By acknowledging the fact that his daughter wasnt his and removing his name for the birth ceritifcate, he gave himself the choice whether or not to take responisbility for her. And he even confessed that he was afraid he might end up hating her but his love won in the end and the fact that he chose to adopt her as his own just made his bond with his daughter stronger and healthier otherwise the truth would just have eaten him up from within. And for their sake I hope he tells his kids the truth one day cause nothing good ever comes by hiding the truth. EDIT: PLEASE TELL TALES CAN YOU PIN THIS? IT WOULD MAKE MY DAY!

OP does have some views that some would consider old fashioned re: sex but he was never abusive nor did he force his views on her during their marriage. For a long time she wanted exactly what he did and it was only after the birth of their first child that she began to change. If she had sought help back then she might have avoided all the hurt she heaped on herself, her husband and her children. But instead of communicating with her husband or seeking out therapy she instead chose a hedonistic, selfish and disgusting course of action. 6 years of lies, cheating, putting her husband's physical and mental health at great risk all for some sleazy hookups. And that's just the husband. What she did to her kids, including completely abandoning them in the end is subhuman. Truly monstrous. Those poor children will remember their mother despite being young when she left and it will come back to them at some point. Thankfully OP has continued to keep them in therapy but they will always wonder why "mommy left." Rarely is a person such a nightmare that their paternity fraud is one of their lesser transgressions. This poor bastard will have trust issues for the rest of his life. Thankfully he put his children first, even those that weren't biologically his. That probably saved his life and helped his children learn to move on without their mother. As for the brutal language he used against Mari, while it might not be my choice i can't blame him. She cheated on him with 46 different people and committed paternity fraud, which should be a felony imo. He can call her whatever he likes.

OP's strategy in keeping parental rights is actually quite genius, rather then run the potential issues of His ex Mari being vindictive and trying to keep Carrie, he gets himself recognized as the legal adoptive parent, meaning fighting for custody to be taken will be a LOT harder.
@StudMuffin24
@StudMuffin24 Жыл бұрын
Technically, he was already on the birth certificate and had full parental rights to begin with. If anything, he made it a little more risky/difficult forfeiting his parental rights initially just to potentially have to fight for them back through adoption. However, he stuck to his principles with that decision and I'd say it was for the better.
@Eye_Of_Odin978
@Eye_Of_Odin978 8 ай бұрын
@@StudMuffin24 Nah, not true. Because, if the wife had wanted to out of spite, she could have admitted that the birth certificate was false and had his parental rights abdicated against his will. Its happened before. By legally acknowledging that he wasn't the child's bio parent but then securing adoptive rights, he essentially secured himself against any legal loopholes or annulments. This settles any and all further dispute and is accordant to the facts, which is important. Any fraudulent ruling can be overturned later.

I had a similar thought. I don’t know what would be worse. Being cheated on because of emotions. Such as the wife falling in love with someone else. Or being cheated on physically. Such as the wife just wanting sex. Like you threw away YEARS of a relationship, 20 plus years, not even just the romantic side, you’ve been in each others lives since you were kids. All cause you wanted sex, pleasure, getting dicked down with random dudes. Like I genuinely can’t fathom where these types of people come from. Your parents didn’t raise you like that, your husband is a grade A catch, and you have everything to lose if you get caught. You should have stopped a long time ago, and to be so reckless, as to sire a child with one of these random hook ups AND NOT EVEN KNOW, you were so reckless that you got pregnant. It’s a miracle op didn’t catch an std, and on top of all that, she was feigning guilt. No, you aren’t sorry for doing it, if that were the case, how the fuck are you getting in bed with another man every other week? You are sorry you got caught. And the worse side person here is Rebecca, you are facilitating your friends hookups knowing she is married with two kids? Really? If I found out my best friend cheated on his girlfriend, I would be the first to punch him in the face, and then I talk some sense into him. Let alone if the nigga was married.

To be honest I truly don't think he has. The way he already set of a difference between the 2 children in his mind is going to make it easier to mistreat her in the future. Especially when he said he is going to make sure She(the daughter) won't end up like the harlot or scank(I don't remember which word he used) like her mother. Like I said in my comment. If she chooses to go the extra mile with someone as a teen is going to lead to abuse from him to her. Because he is going to internalize his exwife's behavior and blame the daughter for mimicking it. We have listened to childrens stories about mothers cheating and the father mistreat them for it their entire childhood. Yeah I get it. Dude is going to pay for shit. I can't believe I sat here and listened to this whole story. Honestly think OP might be slightly on the autism spectrum due to some of the things he explained; but he'd definitely be on the high functioning side. Dude can really write well. I've never felt such anger listening to a story BUT I've also never laughed so hard at a story. The line about the ghost Caligula and Charlie Sheen was funny on multiple levels, especially since CS isn't dead yet. A body count higher than COVID, chased vs chaste, accommodations on Insanity Island...he has a way with words at the very least. Like she'd been run through more times than a lawn sprinkler, that's just deliciously brilliant. I think a lot of people will read / listen to this story and think he was too cruel to Mari. NOTHING could be more cruel than the way she betrayed him. Great story, excellent broadcast.

It's just OP stated he had no ability to tell when a girl was interested in him. He talked about feeling awkward when getting to know someone and becoming physical. Those could be traits someone on the autism spectrum might display. I have severe ADD I've learned to live with as an adult, which puts me on the "spectrum". That's simply due to the fact that men and women cheat differently. When a man cheats the wife asks "do you love her", when a woman cheats the man asks "did you f**k him". Men care more about physical cheating while women care about emotional cheating. So her saying "they meant nothing" to her was OK because she wasn't attached emotionally. In stories like this you see this all too well. Which is why in cases of infidelity more women tend to reconcile as the husband only slept around and was never "emotionally connected" with the mistress.

I’m an hour into this episode 1:00:00 where OP got a letter from his wife. She states that she wanted to feel young and free because she never got to experience it. I call total BS! I met my husband at 17. He was my first real relationship I ever had. We had two children six years after we married. I never got to experience what “being single” was like, too. But I NEVER went out and cheated. I experienced bad PPD after both my children were born and I let my husband and family know. We all got through it. Still married 20+ years to the same guy. OP’s wife was all about excuses. She chose to go out, she chose to put herself into those predicaments. If she cheated once…maybe they could have worked it out… But more than once is a choice.

Maybe I'm old-fashioned & won't understand it no matter what, but honestly, the amount of these stories where folks find their one so young, get married, and then cheat because of FOMO infuriate the hell out of me. They won the relationship lottery on the 1st or 2nd try, but their good fortune isn't enough and they think they need more (or are encouraged by destructive "friends" to get it). Seriously, is experiencing different bedrooms THAT freaking appealing? Someone claiming to love their partner so much shouldn't feel the need to have nekkid physicals with others for "comparison" or "experience". And is the risk of violence and/or STDs really THAT worth it? It's a bloody miracle that the OP in this one didn't get STDs from his selfish, careless wife.

ive come to realization that the true villain of this story truly is rebecca. She left her friend drunk alone with strangers at a bar. First code of going out with friends is not to split up. It seems like the friend was single and saw how "great" her friends life was and was jealous wanting it, which only made rebecca more anrgy when mari would probably vent to her about the struggles throughout her depression. I think Rebecca started feeding her toxic thoughts. "You deserve to be free. Sucks your life was stolen from you" things like that will get into your head when its from your "best friend" then going out once she was pursued its like Rebecca left her alone out of jealousy wanting something bad to happen to her. Maria made her choices so ultimately it is only her to blame for her problems BUT I’m saying that Rebecca wasn’t held accountable when she was literally as bad if not worse than Maria. (She ruined a friends marriage and.. who knows how many other relationships with her enabling cheaters. She leaves her friends alone in possibly dangerous situations. She lies and turns her back on said friends she “helps”.)I guess this is why Rebecca was friends with Maria. Two snakes 🐍 but yeah just trying to point out that Rebecca sucks and needs to be called out.

I agree. Add that to the fact that Rebecca herself was never accused of getting around herself (or at least we don't know it), you can't say that she was helping Mari out by having her do what she finds comfortable. @@spyshark_5002 exactly like she wasn’t being a friend at all, a friend would have tried to help her come to her senses and if Mari found she really did wanna pursue that lifestyle she should have convinced Mari to talk to her husband about it to come to an understanding since if that’s what someone truly desires it’s what they desire. I also agree cause I feel like we didn’t hear much of Rebecca backlash, seems like everyone just jumped on mari without looking at the person who was setting the stage for her downfall. I have no idea why people who cheat on their spouse cheat. Get a divorce & do your cheating. When I caught my X, I had no idea how many other women he'd slept with. I wouldn't let him touch me after that. It's disgusting. This was a great reddit post. 😮 😊

I'm not even going to lie; some of his humor went right over my head and I had to read / listen to it again. He'd throw it right in the middle of some serious dialogue and I wanted to say, "bro, I'm trying to feel sorry for you, stop making me laugh!" Now, go get in your home and drive your home somewhere else. Peace.

so happy he’s doing well and hope whoever his ex wife ended up moving with knows the truth one day or that she fixes her mistakes and doesn’t make that man another victim.

I read this story unfold in real time on Reddit...to say it was epic is putting it lightly...i don't think ive ever seen the sheer amount of both men and women unanimously loathe his cheating wife as much as they did...she literally didn't get a single person's sympathy.

Very glad I listened to this. So happy this guy got a happy ending. Hope homie realizes he's worthy of someone like Nadia, and even a new relationship. Multiple times through this I was impressed with how good he was with articulating his feelings through text.

I love it the way people always say it was a mistake. No a mistake is like burning something because you put the wrong time in or forgetting to carry the one when adding something. What she did was made a bad choice. Technically she made when they were leaving the next day to go on vacation she didn't want to see her friend she wanted to see her lover. So I can pretty much say this wasn't the first time together or the first time she slept with another man. Rebecca has covered her affairs in the past.

This story had me going through every single emotion, sometimes with the same sentence. It also triggered something deep in me that I have not healed from from getting cheated on myself. So back to therapy I go

Sorry to hear that dude. And I hope you get through it. I was cheated on by my ex too but it was "only" online sex so not that severe but still.

The thing about affairs, is that it’s innocent people who know the couple who cheated are the ones who pay the heaviest price.

I think I’ve just been on a roller coaster of emotions. Start to finish… the way he uses comedy to distract from the pain is iconic. I think we all knew the lawyer and him were a good fit after the footsie fight under the table.
