Wow Amy - you're famous(er)! And we have this experience in common, for I too have been an extra, though it wasn't in a film but in a TV miniseries based on Rosamund Pilcher's "Four Seasons." I've never seen it so I don't even know if my scene made it in, but I do remember vividly that it was a funeral scene in a church. I sat at the organ and pretended to play it while a congregation pretended to sing and then a dialogue between two characters took place as the congregation left. One of the characters was being portrayed by Tom Conti - there was absolutely no danger of not realising I was in a scene with that instantly recognisable star! I was only called for one day; I reported to the filming location at 10am to find the crew having breakfast, but was told that the extras needed their costumes checking elsewhere (we'd all had to provide our own mournful attire!) so I was driven to make-up and wardrobe, then back to the filming location where it took about 7 hours to shoot what was probably just a 5 minute scene. There was much lounging around between takes, amid an ever-growing pile of used tea bags, styrofoam coffee cups and biscuit wrappers! Lunch was called at 5pm, and we were returned to the make-up and wardrobe trailers where food was served and we were given our release forms, together with the princely sum of ... £40 cash for our time and participation! Now here's a challenge for you: not only to do the cover, but to do it over the scene...
