9 years I was with a covert narcissist. Towards the end of the relationship my mind was so foggy and I couldn’t think for myself without asking him if it was right or not. I remember I started reading my Bible and asking God if this wasn’t it to give me the strength to leave and to let me never need that man for anything again in life. One day I sat on my couch reading the Bible at 2 a.m because I couldn’t sleep (He was cheating but I had no proof at the time) I’ll never forget I heard “LEAVE” I finally got the courage to leave I was scared because I was a stay at home mom and had literally only $2000 to my name. We left and til this day I praise God because we left before the pandemic started and was home with family afterwards I found the job that I have now it was a complete God send. I make great money the most money I’ve ever made and the best part was that I never needed that man again a day in my life. Don’t ever think God doesn’t answer when you cry. He’s faithful and just as the song goes He’s an On Time God… Yes HE is!

Wow we have such a similar story. We were married within 9 months. Married 10 years, 2 daughters. Met ant church. Everything you said about how you weren’t getting the connection you need. My nervous system is shot, I’ve gained 85lbs in the last 4 years. You’re braver than I am tho, I’ve known for years this needed to be over, but I let it go until he discarded me on New Years Day this year. People are surprised I’m doing so well, they don’t understand what a freeing feeling it is to just be left alone after years of dealing w a narcissist.

My goodness! Yes! I understand everything you said! I’m so sorry that you’ve endured that for so long. It’s definitely a blessing in disguise when they leave. It gives you time to get connected to others that can help you and for you to get stronger! I had never gained so much weight in my life and had such a hard time losing it! Some of my friends are shocked but some are not, since the whole relationship was up and down, literally like a roller coaster. You should check out Dr. David E Clarke! He makes videos to help women get out of that situation, mentally and physically.

@GenieNicoleTV You look so good and healthy! I’m at the very beginning stages of being able to heal, it’s a long road ahead but I’m very excited for it. I will check out that Dr, thank you! I have a pretty good team rn (2 diff coaches, 2 therapists, church, a local meal prep place, my sister, lol… I have an army set up to help me) And yes like the situation you built for yourself, being financially set and stable, I’m so thankful that I have that situation for myself as well. Makes this soooo much easier to not have worry about money, about the necessities for life. I’m so glad I came across your channel, I want as many strong women as I can find as role models, you’re doing great, thank you for sharing your story and I am looking forward to more videos!

Thank you so much for this video. I have been with my husband for 26 years. I started searching the internet to see why he treated me the way he does. Just like you, I found that he fits a covert narc to a T. I have become very ill over the years, and my doctor said that if I don't get the stress out of my life, I won't heal. I have a hard time functioning. He stopped me from doing my career as a health coach. I just turned 65. About a month ago, I was taking a shower after my husband went to bed after being so mean to me. I was crying out to God, hysterically asking for Him to help me out of this situation. In all my crying and pain, I heard plainly.. "Step out in faith, my child." It's so scary bc i have no income, and I have a hard time just existing. I have been in therapy for many years bc of this. I'm so happy for you that you are finally out of that toxic marriage! Thanks so much for sharing! ❤

Thank you for sharing . I married a man with similar traits after dating shortly . He love bombed , married , discarded, divorced, hovered , and I fell for it . We reconciled and got pregnant, loss the baby , no empathy from him. I moved out after he asked for an open relationship and started talking to other woman on dating site . Only a few weeks but God is definitely helping me heal daily

WOW. I can’t believe how similar everyone’s stories have been. I was barely gone 1 month before this man was joining dating sites looking for other women. 🤦🏾♀️ That made it even easier for me to move forward with the divorce.

I believe I may be dealing with a covert narcissist as well. Married 12 years and have dealt with different types of abuse and wasn't sure if I was to blame as he said while knowing deep down it was manipulation. I prayed for clarity and I keep coming across videos like this. God is slowly revealing things to me. Thanks for your video.

I’m praying God’s protection, grace, and strength over you. I pray that He will encourage you and make it clear on what your next steps are as you’re finding clarity on what you’re dealing with. You should read the book, Enough is Enough- by Dr. David E. Clarke. Also, look at his videos for encouragement. 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾❤️

@@Shabaee2626do they give you the silent treatment all the time? Give you a look of disgust/disdain regularly? Do they prey on your weakness and make you feel like you aren’t worth crap? Are they dismissive of your feelings regularly?Do they make plans without you or go out with other “friends” regularly without you? Did they love-bomb you in the beginning and chase after you only for you to be doing all the chasing now? Do you feel they are shallow or hollow and have nothing to add to a conversation regularly? Do they flip the switch with their mood all the time to the point of you questioning your sanity? Do you find yourself drained and constantly asking yourself what the heck is going on or find yourself screaming at the top of your lungs after an “episode?” Do you constantly ask them if everything is okay or if you’ve done something wrong knowing darn well that you will never ever please or win them over? Do you feel manipulated, used, confused? Then all I can say is…RUN!!! I know it’s not easy especially with little ones! GET OUT before you lose your mind.

Genie is praying for you. Just wanted to say that I can definitely see that she went to therapy. It is so hard and confusing to explain what you are experiencing without telling what your spouse is doing. You learn not to take it personally and try to explain what is lacking.
@GenieNicoleTV10 ай бұрын
Yeeessss! Definitely praying as I do not feel like I’m called to be quiet about this method of attack against the body of Christ! The enemy is trying to use whoever he can because his time is running out. And I agree with EVERYTHING you said. It can be difficult to articulate it, especially if people don’t believe you, based on how differently they’ve experienced the narcissistic person.

Unfortunately, people who are raised by narcissistic parents are more vulnerable to not recognize it in potential partners unless they get therapy. Unfortunately, knowing the person for four seasons could still not be enough to prevent being deceived by them... but God is faithful and He will help us choose better when we ask Him... He will send us therapists to help us heal and learn and take better care of ourselves.

My God! You are absolutely right! My dad was an overt narcissist and my mom didn’t even know. Then my daughters father is a covert narcissist as well. So none of this was revealed until my marriage blew up. Then everything started making sense! 🤦🏾♀️

How did you recover? After 8 years, and him leaving every year and then me taking him back I think this is the last time. I’m sad but my heart has broken the most it can the last time he left, so I’m not as sad as I ever was before. Still, he left us with nothing. He made the money and we aren’t really doing good. It’s so evil, I think it’s demonic oppression. I’m so so so lost. How did you do it ? How are you after it? During? You seem so okay…..I’m just existing
@GenieNicoleTV10 ай бұрын
I’m so sorry that you’re even experiencing this. You’re right. It is pure evil and a demonic oppression. Honestly, I always kept my own money. I’m a hairstylist and I always kept my separate business account even though we shared a joint account. So I think that finding your own income and a therapist will be vital to your healing. Even if you can’t afford therapy right now, I’d encourage you to draw closer to The Lord and take advantage of free resources like KZbin videos from Dr. David Clarke. The Lord literally led me out just like He led the children of Israel out of Egypt. You’ll need supernatural strength, a community, income, and therapy to make it. I’m praying for you!!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
