Already when her friend starts dating her missing friend's boyfriend, it doesn't surprise me that she doesn't help her in the end. what shocks me is why her boyfriend did this. it reminds me of a story in France where a man had murdered his wife who was jogging and he was posing as the victim in front of the girl's parents, they organize white marches and everything

I will say honestly: I dont need 'happy' ending. It's pure gold. Well, some stories NEED to end like this. I was always scared of this happening to me or my friends. When we’d go places together they’d wanna go off and do stuff that I didn’t really wanna do and say they’ll do it alone. I’d always follow after them because if something happens atleast neither of us is alone. Even when it was stuff that got me in trouble with my parents. There's a movie similar to this.. I forgot what it's called, if I find it I'll edit this. But theirs a couple that move into a new house with a secret bunker that spies on all the other rooms that only the wife new about. The wife was trying to see if she her husband was cheating on her so she went into the room but got locked in somehow. So everyone though she went missing. After some time the husband started seeing another woman and the wife would witness all their "actions" taking place through out the house. Eventually the new girlfriend found the bunker and found the wife in there but chose not to open it or let her out, until later on she released her out of guilt and the wife ended up locking the new girlfriend in the bunker. Crazy story. Edit: it's called "The hidden face"

This reminds me so much of the show Cruel Summer (in a good way, I promise). The first season was so good and there's so many similarities in the plot I wouldn't be surprised if it took inspiration from the show but either way this was great! I was on the edge of my seat!
