My favorite line in this movie was him telling her: "I'm not a monster" Her reality.... 1. You stalked me 2. You drugged me 3. You kept me locked in your dungeon 4. You told me you'd never touch me without permission whilst literally molesting me without permission, a recurring theme 6. You kept me locked in a room 7. You had my clothes changed without permission 8. You refused to let me see my friends or family 9. You had me dragged on a plane and tied up on said plane 10. You restrained me in the bedroom without consent 11. You murdered some guy on the front lawn 12. You're super controlling 13. You watch me sleep 14. You sleep in the bed without asking 15. You wait in the dark for me to arrive 16. Oh, and you're not so secretly a part of the mafia!!!!!

I'm a polish woman named Laura, which makes this movie extremelly uncomfortable (I haven't seen it, just some reviews). During the video Alex used the english pronounciation of the name, which allowed me to disassociate myself a bit, but when Massimo used the polish pronounciation (11:13)... man, it got 100 times worse.

What ticked me off about the author’s defense of her work was she tried pointing out the audience’s hypocrisy when they praise stories like Beauty and The Beast but criticize 365 Days. One story is about genuine love while the other is literal romanticized abuse. I think her goal was to call out the critiques people had regarding the Stockholm Syndrome by comparing the story to the Disney tale, however the latter had nuances that set it apart and actually had a healthy romance in it. Belle doesn’t fall in love with Beast until after he lets her go and she realizes he’s truly turned over a new leaf and learned how to be kind. In 365 Days. Massimo doesn’t grow as a character in the slightest.
@ScarlettOHara-zn8dn7 ай бұрын
Yea and also he did not throw that onto belle and force her to fall in love with him. She CHOSE to take her father's place. Beast never hurt belle physically. He wanted her to fall in love with him, but she was more important to him than his freedom so he let her go. He truly loved her and gave her space. She never knew she had to fall in love with him she just did.
@morbidhime5 ай бұрын
100%! Belle willingly makes the choice to save Beast because he actually... gives her a choice. Massimo hardly does the bare minimum and doesn't even give Laura a damn choice at all.

That's the problem with these movies! They act like a guy can do anything to a girl and she will always fall for him! Which is not something people should be promoting! One there's no logic to that and two, it justifies assault! Women are not objects so movies need to stop acting like that's what we're! We're human! People need to stop making movies like this! I feel like that also with the "daddy" "mama" talk. "Who's yer daddy?" "Hey there, pretty mama" and yeah the "baby" stuff. Family terms and sexy talk are lines that should never cross. Its yucky and gross.

She even asks him if that's true and seems to believe him when he says, "I'm not the monster you think I am." And this is literally right after he invades her privacy and grabs her by the throat because she doesn't want him to spy on her in lingerie. She's almost as insane as he is.
