Torifying doesn't just dry the wood but "bakes" the sugars in the wood which makes it more resonant. Many don't think that matters on an electric guitar. But if you do then check it out sometime.

Trogly the problem with this one that just looks a bit odd is that they are using regular "white plastic/abalone/pearl" inlays... and that looks too albino on a maple fretboard to me. I would look much better with black inlays.

Not a fan of the white blocks on the Maple (or the floyd Rose), but black block inlays would really pop! Like what you did with the yellow, but dat purple . Do like the simplicity of the single pickup and two knobs- how about a Piezo and one?! The quilty at the end... Someone was VERY good and Santa likey Merry Xmas all!

3:47 if we do the sides black shouldn’t the neck be black? Maybe with a gold stinger? Whenever the sides don’t match the neck on a LP I always think of like the firebird x era when necks were natural backs with a colored body, just looks tacky. On this specific one I think it works but again you’d have to see it in person.

Maybe it’s just me but the prices on these guitars are outrageous ! 3 and 4 thousand dollars in a premium charge because they came up with a good combo ? Isn’t that what they are supposed to be doing anyway ? Gibson does make a nice instrument but damn , the prices are crazy high ! I do have a couple but I’m on the “economy” end of the line . A ‘61 SG , a Trad Pro V I got an excellent price on and I still want a standard . I got the ‘59 on an Epiphone , also discounted . I guess the Gibson line is for “Rockstars” that make a ton of money , I’m retired . I thought I was doing alright until I saw the prices on some of these ! You can have them Trogly , too rich for what you get for my blood 🩸! Take care everyone and always Rock On !

3:37 NO FRICK'N WAY would I spend £6.5 k not even £300.00 for that shitty edge binding, seriously IT IS NOT THAT HARD TO DO THE JOB!lower edges of white- smudged in multiple places, making think the lower part of the sides are painted(impedance then rubbed thdn lacquered) and all filled with white filler, painted white cut in straight most of the way to cover up a shit edge binding job, its either that or im seeing whats the best work of whoever could do with what they had photoshopping the photo shop of the OG best bunch of the pic's, meaning it's actually worse that in the picture. Nice try, but not really.

Challenge for Trog, There's an old video from 1972. Alice Cooper's I'm Eighteen. Guitarists Glen Buxton and Michael Bruce are playing what looks like SG's. Both have Vibrolas. One appears to be a Custom 3-pickup. the other appears to be a Standard but with a witch's hat knob on the lower horn/pickguard. O' Great Trogly....what am I looking at exactly?
