My mind was flipping around during the whole game in a sense of understanding the characters motivations and decisions. How good people become evil and blind and how blind people start to understand what love is. It was hell of a feelings adventure, and i wish you to keep your sanity, it's gonna be hard

Definitely! The last TEN minutes I was thinking about a lot! Not just the consequences of what happened in the game, but losses Iv'e dealt with personally... For that alone this game climbed up the charts of the my top ten.

@@CrimsonFireTorch i can't count how many times i switched my opinions on characters during the whole scenario. not gonna spoil the game for you, but the beauty of part 2 is about the realism of personalities. nobody's really either good or bad, it's all about the feelings we have and can't overcome. oh man, i wish i can play it one more time. i personally like part 2 more, because of that twists. you will never be the same person after this

the whole game i was repeating to myself: please, just go home, please, let's just go home, i don't wanna do this, i don't wanna do this. because you start to understand the vertigo of pain-vengeanse-pain and it never stops, and keeps getting worse and worse. especially when there's people in your present who needs you

@@stepanrylkov1044 I came to that realization after about 20 minutes of really thinking about it. It felt real. I can also understand where Abby is coming from. After all Joel has hinted at, and we ourselves got a little glimpse into what he is capable of doing. What went around... came around! I'm Looking forward to what comes next! I'm editing episode 2 and this game is just drawing me in deeper!

When Joel asks, "Who are you?" and Abby says, "Guess!" I found it more tell-tale that Joel couldn't think of anyone because throughout his life as a Hunter/Smuggler (20 years) he screwed people over, robbed, killed. and probably tortured more people than he can ever remember. So when his past catches up to him, he's completely lost as to who this woman is because he's done so many heinous things to so many people.

Just found your channel tonight and I'm always down to watch someone play TLOU 1 & 2. Seeing your reaction to Ellie smelling Joels jacket compelled me to sub to your channel. Why? Because your reaction to that was the same as mine. I've done the same thing with both of my parents. They say that out of all the senses, smell is linked to our memories more than any other sense. My condolences to you for your mother. On a positive note, you got a new sub, and I look forward to watching the rest of your playthrough and other titles as well. Stay the course friend!

1:40:45 the problem is, her motivations aren't even good. I won't go into why in case of spoilers but She's just an all around awful character 😂
@jleo8656
@jleo8656 5 күн бұрын
That's a narrow unreasonable view imo. She definitely had justifiable motivation and she's just as morally ambiguous as any other character in the game. You could make the argument that Joel was an awful character as well. Tess even said they were both shi**y people, and Joel admittedly told Ellie he had been on both sides of ambushes, meaning he had killed innocent people in his past. Wouldn't you agree that this is a fair assessment?
@Bigglesman96
@Bigglesman96 5 күн бұрын
@jleo8656 no you're definitely right that Joel was not a good person, but I'm only talking about this situation that's personal to him and Abby, she doesn't know about his past so it's irrelevant. SPOILERS AHEAD to preface, imo Joel was never wrong about what he did at the hospital. A bunch of people took it upon themselves to take away Joel and Ellie's choices, denied them the chance to even discuss it or say goodbye at the very least, and were perfectly willing to enforce it violently. they made the assumption that Ellie would allow them to kill her without even making absolutely sure. They took it upon themselves to be pricks and got what they deserved. That would be like taking your daughter to the hospital, them saying they're going to kill her because she might cure cancer, then kicking you out at gunpoint. It's absolutely insane. Joel had every right to kill them, it's not like they stood down peacefully. Hell Abby's own FATHER threatened him with a knife when he could have just allowed Joel to grab her. He's a moron. The fact that Abby and her father agreed with EACH OTHER that they would allow the other to be sacrificed gives them NO authority to make that choice for someone else, and for abby to then have the audacity to PERSONALLY hate Joel for protecting someone he loves, when her father literally could have just stepped out of the way, makes her a massive hypocritical piece of 💩 of a character. She could have just killed Joel, but she violently tortures him for an impersonal murder that COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED if her father didn't try to be the moral authority over someone and just let him pass. If she had any integrity she would understand he killed for love, he didn't draw it out and torture, and she would do him the mercy of killing him quickly if she was going to kill him at all. Her character just sucks, her sections are boring AF and I couldn't wait for her to die. But we don't even get that 💀 lmao

Sorry for the essay lol/// I mean consider it from the perspective of Joel. He thinks all the fireflies are dead, he killed the doctor so it's not like they're coming after him and Ellie to make a cure. And him and Tommy have been trading with survivors and making Jackson bigger for 4 years. As well as the fact that these people just helped them with infected and were being welcoming. I think it makes sense that they at least shared their name. And you could argue that Joel's cautious habits would still be a thing, but I mean look how quickly he became a survivor after the outbreak after 20+ years of being a civilian/dad. It's not unreasonable that after 4 years of normal life he's gotten comfortable enough to share his name.

@@miller-joel I mean unless I missed something the WLF weren't previously mentioned and even if they were how would Joel know that the select few that he just happened across were previously fireflies? And furthermore how would he know they were the exact previous fireflies who would want him dead. Joel isn't Batman lol he's a regular dude who did something questionable and got caught off guard by the people who suffered from that decision. I love Joel's character but his death makes sense.
