Let me tell you why I am really mad at Blue lock. You can really see that the animators and rest of the staffs have all the talent and skills to made a fantastic, amazing season. The last 4 min of the last episode and multiple times in s1, speak for itself. The artwork is Superb. Almost every frame is a wallpaper material. Only if they were provided with enough fund and most importantly enough TIME, we could have get one of the most amazing sports anime season , not this abomination. I also like to blame the fans a little bit. The higher ups knew even if they produced an uncooked..... Fcking RAW product , the fans would gladly eat it.

Don't sugar coat it the higher ups took advantage of our emotions to gain profits. You can't always blame the consumers when all we're doing is just watching our favourite story animated and then get taken advantage of by greedy capitalists.

The fact that they were able to make these last few episodes as good as they did showed they tried to compensate their lack of good animation by making what they _could_ do the best they could. Even with just sliding JPEGs they managed to up the hype to a point that it _felt_ epic. Art direction is just as important as the art itself; being able to _feel_ the action _move_ in every scene, even if it really doesn't shows a high level of competence.

This one of the few football anime that we have gotten so even if the animation isn’t that good, ppl watch sports anime for hype moments. The higher ups defo used that to their advantage. Imagine if it had S1 animation bro😭🙏

S2 started so poorly, but i'm glad i stuck with it. The lows were quite low but the highs...my god they were amazing. The last episode was genuinely incredible. It needed more time clearly, but i'm not naive enough to think it's that simple. We can only hope that moving forward more time is given to the people working on it.

I still find this season as a disappointment. I was an anime watch till the end of season 2 and except the last episode, I didn't even enjoyed a single part of it, cuz it never felt like they were playing and after that I read the manga and become more disappointed like this is the arc you do such injustice to, really?? I loved it in the manga, I do find the lack of effects and it's black and white colour pallet makes it a better experience. I just wish the animators got more time so the whole season could look good

I’d argue from episode 6 to episode 14 the animation was fine. The last 2 episodes had very good animation and each episode had a highlight which was nice. I like the second season more than the first because the animation left on a high, while in season 1 it went from a high to a low. Also the story was incredible, and it was more hype.

I think it's healthy to criticize this season for it's lack of polish and generally good animation, but at the same time we need to look at the overall presentation with a more objective eye. What hurt Blue Lock wasn't bad animation so much as it was not a lot of time to give _good_ animation. Resource management is key and it was fumbled in the first and middle parts of the season. But it's obvious they put heart in the latter parts of the season to try and make up for the lackluster beginning. The problem comes down to trying to do too much with the little time they were allotted. The skills and passion are there, but without proper allocation of time and energy that skill and passion have no foundation and thus you get the rushed, cluttered mess of a beginning.
