A slightly shorter than usual weekly vlog this week as we'll be releasing daily videos for the rest of this week showing our trip to London that took place in the second half of this week. But even though this is only a four day vlog, with those four days falling in half term, there's still plenty to cover before the kids go back to school including: Andy's trip to respite care, another back injury for me, a very quick review of the new Birds of Prey movie, Andy's visit to CAMHS for his medication review, details of troubled stay at respite with more meltdowns, an emergency visit from Andy's social worker as somebody reported me for exploiting him and my nomination for the National Diversity Awards in the Positive Role Model (Disability) category.

ABOUT KEVIN CHAPMAN
I'm a 37 year old KZbinr from the UK. I've got a cracking beard and I'm currently going through the autism diagnosis process. I started this channel back in 2017 and by the time I left my full-time job as a Computer Science teacher in July of that year, my partner Anna was trapped in our house by our son Andy, who is autistic and had refused to go to school for 18 months. Our daughters Lucy and Amy and our dog Dave hardly saw me because I was always working to try and solve all our problems! Today I'm a full-time content creator and always at home when the kids get home from school (all our kids!) and Anna has been able to return to university. Its pretty pathetic when people are sitting at home watching these videos and all they have to do is complain because they dont agree with something you've allegedly done or said. You're videos are great and very interesting. As someone who has a disability myself (not autism) I think its awful that theres still nosey people in the world that have nothing better than complain. If the person or persons who complained is reading this then if you dont like the videos mind your own business and dont watch.

It seems like there is a trend lately of people reporting families who vlog on YT to social services. As a (hopefully) future case manager or social worker, it's quite annoying to see resources being wasted. However, like you said Kev, if there is a complaint it must be investigated. I'm glad you took it in stride and didn't let it get to you. Looking forward to the London vlogs!

Kevin, I think you have one of if not the best professional channel surrounding Autism. I don't think you exploit andy in any way. You don't upload when Andy is having issues, doctors visits, etc. You only talk about it when you have a clear head. Keep up the great work Kev.

Reporting a parent from an Autistic child for no reason at all is pretty low, then again the one who did it should feel pretty embarrassed. How pathetic, that sort of behaviour! I have been thinking about these melt downs from sir Andy, and I was thinking maybe it has to do something with puberty. Then again, that could be the case if these melt downs also would occure at home. And that is not the case. Just sharing my thoughts. Great Vlog as always, Kevin. Well done on your nomination Kev and good luck for your interview Anna. Just thought about Andys issues could it be now that he is eating more and a larger variety of foods that he is having some issues with food combinations. I know my son if eats eggs and then has fish within a certain time frame he goes off. We have been told although not allergic he is food sensitive to a lot and all foods need to be moderated. This in conjunction with his age and body development could be an issue he manages it better when he is with you and Anna as his safe people as he less anxious and overwhelmed.

Sorry you have to deal with people falsely reporting you. There is a youtuber who is targeting Autistic families as she thinks she knows best. She makes videos on these families on what she thinks they are doing wrong. Apparently she has been reported and has lost her monetization for these videos. Keep up the good work with your videos life and looking after Andy. Your real fans know the truth.
