I first saw Dave in 1994 at Suntak Estate. Booze flowed to him easy and fast because he was a natural entertainer - highly intelligent and prolific story-teller. I noted him because of his fabulously beautiful wife and also his ability to act out his mother - Mrs. Grace Ogot - constantly adjusting the imaginary headscarf (Grace's 'tiara' was as unique to her as Rogo Manduli's is to her). Dave you look good. You are in a good place. Glory and honour to God for your profound reformation.

You are a legend food. I started stealing my dads alcohol when I was 10,soon he realised so every weekend he bought me a bottle of beer. It seemed irresponsible of him but eventually I learnt that alcohol was nothing unique, just another bad drink if not handled with care. So I quit.

Ogot, I remember you entertaining us at the carnivore as nyama bite. I remember you coming for a haircut at a barber shop in Westlands, soin arcade, very drunk and very late for your own wedding. It was your wedding day and you were already several hours late for church. I was the barber who cut your hair on that day. I am not an alcoholic, but your story has inspired me in other areas of my life. Never give up. I watched every second of it. Something I don't do in long KZbin videos. May Colins RIP.

Wow DOgot. Been wondering where you went. I did not realize when we would hang out in Narobi West, what you were going through. Sooo glad you have come out of it alive and are unashamedly making use of the experience, painful as it may be, to inspire, encourage and change lives of others who do not know how to deal with the issue of addiction... Pole sana for the loss of your mentor abd friend Caleb. What you and your team is doing is the real salute for him - may he RIP. His teaching, guidance and mentoting continue to be expressed in the lives you and your team are touching and changing. The state's 21 gun salute has a temporary effect which does not go beyond the reach of its noise. Yours has an eternal effect and far reaching positive consequences where people's lives are extended and made fruitful. Thank you Dave. God bless and keep you and even increase you. I will call you to catch up!
