If you're thinking about getting one of these .... you will NOT regret it. I got one and LOVE it. It did a better job on my gravel drive than my field rake and land plane. It also worked great in getting some rotten hay (it rained too much to bale it up) off the field (the field rake kept just clogging up). It's also great for getting wood and rocks out of dirt piles so you can use the dirt.

I really appreciate your honest opinion on the equipment you sell. It is not found often. Thanks you for your efforts to bring good solid equipment to us!

I have the original version, purchased for dethacher use but have found many applications for it. Great for spreading composted horse manure. The tines do get out of wack pushing backwards but the manual recommendation is forward use only.

Was wondering why none larger than 60" until you said ships UPS at which point I'm guessing it's due to oversize package charges. Though it would be cool to have a 8ft-10ft one made of two wings folding up-to the center even if it had to be split into a couple of packages for shipping. ...... Also guessing that anything wider than 8ft 6in would need to take the most stringent state's allowable implement width for road travel into consideration too....

They used to offer a 70 and 80". Both were terrible sellers, so they quit making them. They were also quite a bit more expensive due to the size. So, that probably had something to do with it.

I have loose sandy loam full of roots, no rocks, but some hard sand/clay as well. The excavators cleared the stumps from a thickly wooded building site and next spring, or this winter if anything like last winter I have to clean this up. What would be the most affordable implement for this task?

I wish I had land that needed it. There might ought to be a version that has the skid-steer-quick-attach instead of the 3-point-quick-attach setup. I don't have either quick-attach so I'm not a sale-study but if I won the lottery... I want one on the front b/c I also have a grass-catcher. My current front dethatcher is on a simple swivel wheel but I kinda want more down-pressure.

I have the original version, use it on grass, also the gravel drive. Works great for prepping for seed. I have bent a couple tines, do you sell spares or do i need to call the manufacturer?
@carlstrohm37855 ай бұрын
I've seen very similar looking ones at Fleet Farm and L&M Supply. Edit-the spring tines, sold individually.

I desperately need to know how you got the 3 point to follow the undulations of the uneven ground.

“Float” position on the 3 point…with no weight (100 pounds is practically zero) it has no downward pressure
@SlackerU5 ай бұрын
Mine floats, IDK why yours wouldn't.
@totes_muhgoats5 ай бұрын
@@jamessloanofficial But what is that position? I have a kubota LX2610 and all I can see is the lever for 3 point position 1-8. I move the lever and the height just stays there.
@gordonborsboom74605 ай бұрын
3 point hitches have no upward resistance other than the weight of the attachments holding it down. The hydraulic piston that raises it has no mechanical fastening to the lift arms. In a set arm position, if a lifting force is applied, the arms raise without the hydrualic piston moving

I’m also confused on the 3 pt “float position” with the 1025R. If I’m following y’all correctly, I just pick a number on the 3 pt, lock it into place and that’s called the float position?

It would be cool if they had extensions that could be added on each side to make it 10’. Id love a 10’ version for my yard. 5’ would take me forever to dethatch. It would be neat if they could fold up too for smaller storage footprint

I have the Standard duty DeThatcher. It works great on trails. Also good for over seeding. I Aireated my yard & put seed out. Then went over it again with the DeThatcher. I had 6 41lb suitcase weights on my Hitch hangers. That was perfect for tearing the yard up just enough to re seed.

When they make a 72" I'll buy one. But does look like it works great. Just need a bigger one for the tractor I have.

Fold out wings would be sweet. Sell a 48" with optional or included 6" wings and 12" wings.

Not sure if you noticed how many stones it chunks to the side. I imagine a man of your perfection wouldn't like that. I'm sure a little slower speed would cure that though.

To me I don’t think they have a good design but poor placement. I have a Simplicity mower with a front mounted dethatcher. Works great especially if you’re bagging as you mow. Mount it in the front and then it would be useful. One pass and you’re done.
