Since it can do Polycapo, it seem like it would have enough power to run a couple Effects or equivalents at the same time. If I remember right, it already has a combination Delay/Reverb. More "combination" Effects would make the unit even more attractive and useful.

Hi there...Are you sure about the combination delay/reverb effect?...I hope you are right, but it was my understanding that it was simply one at a time (although you can use the flux to dramatically change items like drive/volume/delay time etc)

@@dunnjavit The HX One includes these 4 Effects that appear in the HX Stomp. These following Effect Blocks models utilize a Preset Block "Mode" switch to toggle between different settings or configurations, enhancing their functionality as hybrid effects within a stereo context. I assume they behave the same in the HX One, and in that sense I consider them as 2 effects combined into one - A Hybrid. If I remember correctly, I think I heard someone from Line 6 point out this feature. It might have even been Ben Adrian. "Mod/Chorus Echo: This model combines modulation with echo effects, providing a versatile range of sounds. Dual Delay: Offers two independent delay lines that can be configured in various ways for complex delay effects. Multitap 4: This model allows for multiple delay taps, enabling intricate rhythmic patterns and textures. Multipass: A more advanced model that combines multiple effects including delay and modulation, providing a rich sound palette."

I was thinking two independent effects, but it looks like what you're saying is that these delay effects have other aspects but in...like chorus modulation on the delay sound etc.....Im really tempted...the prices hav just dropped significantly here in the UK £259 down to £199.....the flux option is a winner for me ramping up tremolo, rotary and other modulation sounds or acting as a low gain,/high gain switch

I have one of these coming next month and can't wait to get my grimy little paws on it, especially now, after watching this. I'm legally blind (20/800 with specs 😎) so I built a pedalboard out of some doorstops and a shelf board that sits up where I can put my nose to the screens. I was using a couple of BOSS FS-7s to control everything at foot level, but I'm thinking about looking into other options, like Barn3. Still not decided yet. Great video, now a sub!

I was going back and forth on this ONE or the Stomp. I think I’ve settled on the HX One. I never use amp modeling and I’m already running 3 ODs and a nemesis delay on a board with a PBC6x with MIDI. I was using a H9 but the effects are overly complex for my needs. I just need one “everything else” pedal for that song that needs pitch, next song weird reverb, next phaser, then rotary, flanger, chorus, etc etc…. I think this pedal was made exactly for a player like me in mind.

I love this pedal!! For us guys that are using stomp box pedalboards, this is the perfect 'Swiss Army Knife' pedal for those one-off effects I'll use for 1 song in a set. I run it midi through a Gigrig G3S and can recall any effect per preset. Perfect pedalboard pedal!!

People who shit on the HX One must have never used an M5. It is not your "one pedal to do it all" but is a "one slot on your board to cover all the effects you are only going to use on one song so it isn't worth buying that pedal"

This. Swiss army knife. Plus some people like me run out of room and this pedal was the exact size of the gap in my board. Everyone has their own reasons and people love to hate for no reason.

Hi, thanks for the video - sounds interesting. But how do you determine when an effect is placed before the Tonex and when an effect is placed after the Tonex? Since you are using the 4-cable method, the output from the HX One is only mono, or am I mistaken?

Hey Jason! Did you find that the signal is one sided when you turn on true bypass? Mine is having that. But it’s normal on stereo when on dsp bypass. Need some help!

@@davidmoore8397 Very true. The thing that sticks out most, if it's able to do poly capo, it has the dsp to run 2-3 stereo delays. Probably has 1/3 or so of the HX Effects DSP power, but they only let you use 1 at a time. I'm definitely not their target market. If it does want you want for options and size, enjoy!

You're thinking about it jn the wrong way. Pros and session guys don't like menu diving and prefer tones from analog stompboxes. This is the perfect swiss army knife to have a one off effect that they might not normally dedicate a pedal spot to while also being able to do things that analog stuff can't do.

@@LeviBulger Other than the hx1 is a digital device with lots of menu diving options and a tiny screen? If it works for you great. I think it's too expensive compared to the HX effects. I'd rather buy a used HXE for an extra $100. On top of that, if it can run poly capo, it's capable of running 2-3 delays. So the unit is way more capable but line 6 decided to only let a single effect be used. Possible that decision was based on the form factor?

@@DarthV506 One great example is for a bedroom/basement player (90% of people) on YT. Instead of spending 200 to $500 for a single effects pedal you can access all of these with ease. No dealing with annoying and irritating software route. Perfect for people that just want to plug a guitar into an amp and have access to multiple quality effects pedals in a pedal form. Don't have to deal with sitting in front of a laptop or looking at a phone. Personally, Doing so is a combination of going to the dentist for a tooth extraction and then going to a job I hate with a passion. HA

@@stevieknighten Yes, it then shows the preset name. Now I get what you're saying. But the plus is that you know what effect is engaged of that preset. I actually like it now because I know how to tweak the effect (on the fly) when I know what the effect is.
