@@NonstopEurotrip Did you need a Letter Of Introduction from someone or some organization in Pakistan? If so, how easy was it to obtain? When I travelled in PK in 1977 I needed no visa or LOI, but things now are very different... I took the night train from Rawalpindi to Lahore, and it was so crowded that I had to hold onto the grabrails by the open door because I couldn't even get inside for a while; some passengers were on the roof or sitting on the buffers, so holding on for dear life by the door seemed much safer to me. So saying, taking jeeps in the Karakoram was much more "exciting" than riding PK trains!
