I truly appreciate your humble nature . You felt your patient relatives pain and valued life ,you’re truly one of a kind human being 🙏. There are some doctors especially in NIMS Hospital Hyderabad who are very rude and self Centered, they look down their patients and their attenders. I was made to stand in one side of the room for 3 hours when doctor was not busy , he was just chatting on phone about some dessert .I was asked to give an explanation why my mother should have dialysis if I made her join in different unit . I was sure that so called HOD has no right to deny my mother dialysis as it Semi Govt hospital and already reference was given by Cardio Dept chief for dialysis . I guess Nephro Dept doctor ego was hurt as I have taken her cardio OP for right sided heart failure back then I was unaware of hospital politics and-so I was humiliated for making my mother join in cardiology Dept . She even had renal failure issue and needed dialysis so that was the issue . I was questioned by Nephro HOD why did I join my mother in cardio unit if she needed dialysis and he literally made me cry .I was nervous to request HOD of nephrology Dept to consider dialysis . Even though I showed viral markers of 3 years which includes every 6 months reports including recent ones after admission which were pretty clear and no infections ,he was reluctant to grant dialysis saying my mother might have viral infections which may risk other fellow patients . Finally after series of discussion and my request dialysis time was given midnight at 1:30am . This was in 2013. Today I’m a doctor and doing my Internal Medicine Residency out of India . After my mother demise I have no one in India . I promised myself that I will not become a doctor who don’t respect patients. I will come back India after I’m done with residency and I will question HOD of very same Dept. May be it won’t matter to him but I will let him know how I felt and that I won’t become like him as a fellow doctor . All I need was humble talk and little reassurance . After few days my mother passed away . Today my mother is not there but I realised how much doctor words help when one is in distress . It’s been more then 7 years I don’t blame any doctor for my mother demise but I will definetly remember rude behaviour of Nephro HOD and promised myself never to behave like him. You’ve accepted something when mistake is not yours as you tried your best . Salutes to doctors like you who value and respect others emotions🙏

We are from Ongole. All my relatives got knee replacement surgery in Ongole and are happy. We wanted to get best treatment from best doctor and went to Dr Gurava Reddy. My mother was 70 years old and is healthy. He operated on both knees and she died after 10 days. A doctor should not do knee surgery on both legs at same time. We believed in him thinking he is a good human being. If he did surgery only on one knee she would be alive today. He did both legs at same time to get more money.

To everyone saying he killed the patient and got away with it cause it happened in India, shame on you. He just admitted his mistake. Others saying this wouldn't have happened in the US, deaths due to physician errors is the third leading cause of death in the United States. And many of these US physicians are still working. These are the facts. Doctors are humans and make mistakes. And before saying stupid things like he shouldn't be a doctor because of the mistake, if you are so confident in yourselves, you should read MBBS and PG and become a physician yourself. The truth is despite years of training, doctors make mistakes. At least, he is reasonable to accept it and learn from it.
