Drove for 10yrs. I'm on extended vacation now. Taking 5mo off, Jan to June to fix up my property that I bought 1yr ago. Never had time to do repairs. Driving can pay well, but ur never home to enjoy life. I'm gonna take 5mo off every year from now on....👍😺

There is not amount of money , someone can pay me to drive a truck , can compensate for all the sacrifice a driver has to do otr. No way ! I’m 100% independent O/O. I drive when I get my rate , I drive anywhere I want and anytime I choose to . This industry can be the best place to work and enjoy it , but trucker gave the power to companies and corporations. If you are in this industry and you don’t drive for yourself , then do something else . You will be happier .

this is not a good company. I am a CDL driver I used to work for this company. I had an emergency and missed my flight back to pick up my truck at headquarters. They told me they would get me another flight. A few days they let me go for missing the flight even though I told them I had an emergency not a good company at all. I seen them let a few people go over my time with them stay away from them. It’s almost impossible to get home time with them.

I worked for them for 6 months. These are the facts: 1) You will live paycheck to paycheck due to lack freight for dry van. most I made a week $1,050. average $700. 2) they have internal and external cameras if want the bonus pay. P.s. They will micro manage your driving and safety department is very proactive in writing drivers up. 3) they have very good marketing, but it's just another shitty trucking company finding ways to not pay there drivers. Good luck out there drivers!

To far from my home, I’m stuck been stuck. I shut everything n everybody off. I trip 24/7 if I’m not working or busy I’m pacing only cause I know theirs never enough time to work a shit 8 or 9 10 12hr day making less than 2 gs a month and having to save for a CDL. Half the time it don’t seem like it’s worth it.

I got into local food distribution and they work you absolutely to the bone. BUT im home every night. My benefits are insane, i have a retirement for the future set, i get more and more paid vacations every year that goes by. And best of all is i went from bring home 2500 a month doing construction to 7000 a month doing this. Completely changed my life.

Horrible for your body, you work 65+ hours for nothing to scream about pay, you’re in sketchy dangerous situations everyday, and the shift times suck. I team with my wife at GP, they start teams at 76 cents. GP is the 3rd highest paying carrier in the nation with Walmart at number 1.

Nah you ain't telling the whole truth. Otr you're still living paycheck to paycheck working at large fleet trucking companies. I drove otr for 30 years driving my own truck and it was hard work then and evenmore cutthroat than it is now. Stay awhile you'll find this out. It ain't for everyone.
