These two songs are from their concept album Queen of the Murder Scene. It’s about a woman who suffers unrequited love, obsession, murder, madness and finally death. D2D is the prologue and introduces the story from the POV of the Queen’s ghost at her funeral. Dull Knives is after she murders her crush. She is struggling with guilt and contemplating suicide.

The spoken spanish lyrics that the audience does in the bridge "Brother! Salvation is something that is earned!Let go of your hand of resentment and Wake up to a new light within you Even if your brothers try Plunge into the darkness", was originally performed by their manager Rudy, who came on stage and read it. Later they replaced it with a track, but in this performance they trust that the Mexican audience knows the text.

Ale is considered the main composer of D2D, she wrote the baseline and most of the melody when she was 13; they then finished the song together.
@reactionsaccount39552 ай бұрын
Those two songs are both from their second album released in 2018 and have been staples of their live shows, and they have played them hundreds of times, so I suspect that this is why they added the extended outro to D2D and then went straight into Dull Knives, which is a short song that fans always jokingly complain about its length, so by joining it to D2D it fixes that problem, so to speak.

Deberían haber tocado el intro de D2D también, la parte que es sólo el bajo de Ale

Great reaction from you and I'm excited to know that if you keep reacting to more of this power trio's material they will soon be your favorite band too, inevitably!! That's for sure... It's The Warning!! Because as you get to know TW better you discover that their music is steeped in various rock styles but invariably it’s pure rock. And I continue to reaffirm my humble but very personal opinion that their structure, their cuts, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, their endings... All of it is masterful. The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all of this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection, with sophistication predominating. There could always be other options, but the ones they choose seem to be the exact ones to create a masterpiece of art. Also impregnating everything with a natural touch of inevitable sensuality that only adds improvements and with the feeling, sensitivity and passion of their blood, race and culture. Each of their pieces can be very different, but always with all the flavor of TW. It’s very clear that these sisters have no limits. They have that gift that only belongs to the geniuses that appear among us every certain period of time. This is the youngest veteran band in the world of rock!! Without forgetting that they are only three, yes, but three authentic geniuses in their specialization. Melodically they are the best, without a doubt, because they are the queens of the hook, the riff, the changes of tonality, the contagious rhythms, the catchy melodies, the sublime voices, the unbeatable harmonies and the ambiguous but deep and powerful messages. And this happens song after song… INCREDIBLE!! The new masters of rock: The Warning ⚡ For now I subscribe to your channel because I hope to see many more reactions and opinions from you about my favorite band of all time. Thank you and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️ .

“Dust to Dust” is without a doubt Pau’s showcase song. It shows off her voice at full-on belt, and she’s just casually beating those drums like naughty schoolchildren. In the Teatro Metropolitan performance, she also fixes her in-ear monitor with one hand while continuing to drum with the other (at the very beginning of the song).

Great reaction again! I recommend starting at the beginning with this concert, with 'Disciple'. The thumbnails have numbers in the bottom right corner to show what order they were played. Work your way through the concert... It gives a good foundation of the band's music. Total of 23 songs... It's fairly rare to see Dany shred a solo, but there are a few songs at this concert where she does it - notably the song 'Z' (about gen Z). The unicorn is seeing Ale sing. She doesn't take lead, ever (on professionally shot concert footage like this one) There are some decent fan-cams out there where she took lead because Dany was sick and needed a break here and there, but nothing professionally shot... The song 'Choke' is the unicorn moment as it does feature her by herself for a couple lines. Choke is the only song that has (to my knowledge) ever been professionally shot where Ale sings by herself. When you get to 'Breathe' (sung by Pau), and 'When I'm Alone' (Dany on acoustic guitar) - MAKE SURE you use subtitles, and go to settings to auto-translate to English... they say a few things to the crowd in Spanish that add context to their respective songs and you'll want to read what they're saying.

3:11 there's a good reason for that, she was the primary composer on Dust to Dust. She composed the intro bassline (when she was only 12 for the record) and the rest of the song was written around it.

This may have been mentioned somewhere in the comments. I suggest doing a double reaction to Enter Sandman: the 2014 cover they did as kids, then one of the versions they created with Alessia Cara for Metallica's Blacklist album. The live version at the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (2022) is awesome. They also performed it at the Pepsi Center CDMX concert (2023) with a string ensemble. Both feature Ms. Cara in some backing vocals. There's also an OMV in which we get to see Alessia's full contribution.

I suggest an Enter Sandman 2'fr. Their childhood straight cover, and then their live at the Teatro Metropolitan show 2 years ago. There is a more recent live at the Pepsi center, but it is with an orchestra. It is impressive, but I feel the ladies shine more in the previous show.

Yes! People have a tendency now to ignore the Metropolitan concert when, in actual fact, it is actually better than the Pepsi one in so many ways. Enter Sandman being the prime example. "I do want to check out some of their earlier stuff". You just did; these 2 songs are from "Queen of the Murder Scene" (2017-18); Ale composed the entire Bass-line at 11. Ale's a Contralto, Dany an Alto, Pau a Mezzo. Ale's a world-class Jazz Bassist playing Rock, named the youngest Spector Signature Bass Artist ever at 15, and makes it seem effortless, as if doing very little, when she has perfect timing/ pitch, holds the band together, locks everyone in, plays the Melody-line, Bass-line, Bass-solos, and is primarily responsible for this 3-piece creating a Wall of Sound. Ale's Idol at 7 was legendary Jazz Bassist Jaco Pastorius; Ale started playing Jaco's catalog at 9 , by 10 she could flawlessly play Jaco's legendary, incredibly difficult, Jazz masterpiece "Donna Lee". That's crazy, but all 3 of these women are master musicians, vocalists, and composers.

Start with their 2014 original cover back when they were kids, then check out their new re-imagined version in the official Music Video with Alessia Cara, then go Live with Teatro Metropolitan, and finally finish it off with Live from the Pepsi Center. Each one is different and each one takes it up several notches. And if you really what to check out something even more amazing go through their Rock Novel Concept Album Queen of the Murder Scene, what an amazing story and an amazing album. Dust to Dust is the prologue to the album, where at her funeral the protagonists invites you in to hear her story of infatuation that leads to obsession , stalking, murder and psychosis as she descends into madness. Told from the perspective within her own mind as she struggles to understand what she has become before embracing it fully.

Hola amigo. The Warning nos une.
