One tip I’d like to add is for asymmetrical breasts. Finding a bra that has stretchy cups allows it to accommodate the larger breast while it still fits the smaller breast thus eliminating rippling bra material on the side that has the smaller breast. It works very well! Thanks for another great video and I enjoy your sense of humour. 😁

I don't really get the obsession with keeping your breasts in the centre. If your breasts are naturally set wider, wouldn't it be weird and uncomfortable to push them together every day? I know it is for me. Maybe for certain clothes, it makes sense, but not on the regular. I don't care about how my breasts look for others, I just want to be comfortable. And the best bra that I've found for my wide breast is actually the unpadded one with straps going to the sides like here 06:20.

Pushing wide-set breasts to the center is incredibly uncomfortable, especially if a wire is involved. Breast tissue is tender, and pushing the fat cushioning it aside isn't ideal, imo. I say this as someone with very wide-set breasts (even bras advertised for wide-set breasts still don’t fit right for me). The bras she mentioned for wide-set breasts are some of the most uncomfortable bras for me simply because they push breasts towards the center. When wires are involved, this means you have a thin wire placed firmly against tender tissue. When they aren't, I still have spillage, as my breasts very understandably don’t want to be pushed far outside of their natural position. Personally, I've found cheap cami bralettes with removable cups work best for me. The cami band prevents spillage and the removable cups can be positioned wherever in the bra is best for my body.

I don't have pain (except when I'm wearing straps that dig into my shoulder or that pull on my traps), so for me the surgery would be all about gaining comfort. I'm sick of underboob sweat, uncomfortable bouncing when jogging or doing jumping jacks, discomfort while sleeping whether it's to switch positions to sleep on my stomach or the way they flop around when moving to my side or the way they sit on my throat when sleeping on my back. I also hate trying to find bras or clothes that fit right. I don't like the attention they bring either. I'm not trans, but I definitely wanna lop them completely off. Maybe I'll go for an A or B cup, but I certainly want the light feeling of having mosquito bites for boobs. I'd burn all my bras and go braless (or just bralettes) for the rest of my life. I thought I had to be the only one in the world with A-cup, so to really see there is someone out there (I knew they existed since they sell them though, but never met anyone or heard of anyone else). When the people you know complain about their extremely large breasts with K-cup they just don't understand that being an A isn't always easy when buying clothes in size 14-16 as all large women are supposed to have enormous breasts too. When I was a size 6-8 it wasn't easy either as it's the same, you're supposed to have sillicone if your'e on the smaller side. Trying to find bras in size 90A is just impossible in my country, but when I'm smaller and can use 75-80 A it's easier. I don't know if my shape really exist though. When I was young my goal was to have a pen sit under my boob for a second, I don't remember why but it have never happend yet, but now I don't really care anymore. The only reason that I wish they were bigger is to be able to wear a 50-s halterneck dress with lots and lots of underskirts, but I don't think it will ever happen and I'm really not getting younger so it's soon to late anyways to wear a dress like that and not look desperate. Hopefully I will get down to a size 10 soon and then I can buy a bra that fits me better.

Great video!! Way back when Oprah had her daytime talk show, she did a show on undergarments. Many women are wearing the wrong ones for their body type because the industry doesn't show you how to dress your body. The designers put their garments on people society deems most beautiful, basically to boost their profits. They don't really care if you buy the wrong thing for your body, they just want you to buy buy buy. This has led to endless mindless consumerism and tons of fashion waste. Most women need to go up a size in the cup size and go down a size around the ribs. Otherwise the type of bra your girls need won't be nearly as effective. When I learned this on the Oprah show, it was life changing. Thank you for taking up the cause for us petite ladies. I really appreciate your content.

No matter what kind of bra I try, they all either make my boobs look weird or are just plain uncomfortable. Thing is, I'm a chubby woman with A, on a good day, B cups. They also have no volume to them and are far apart, essentially they look like the kind you'd expect on an obese man. Nothing seems to work, and going braless is both uncomfortable and horrible with my clothing, I just look totally flat and everything gaps. I've given up at this point and wear children's section bralettes but it's not a feminine shape at all. I'm not going to lie and say that I didn't wish I looked more womanly....

do you live near a target? They have both with a wire and without. I suggest looking at that brand if you haven't (and they only run about 12-15 dollars each)

I would add that if you have a full bust and are short-waisted, it's really important to get a bra that pushes your breasts up -- otherwise you end up looking much heavier. I am not heavy but for years I had a terrible time finding a bra at a department store. When I got the advice to be fitted at a ligerie store (NOT Victoria's Secret - the only "lingerie store" many malls have) I went to Soma and discovered that I wore a 32DDD. This is a size NO department store has! All their 32 bras are usually "trainer bras" for teens! A fitter. helped me find two styles (full-coverage, wire band, and extremely supportive). With my breast in the center of my short ribcage, rather than at the bottom, I looked as if I had lost 10 pounds!!! It was amazing. I am 5'2'' and at the time I weighed about 124 pounds and worse size small or 6 (sometimes 4!). About 10 years later I have gained weight and also changed shape -- I weigh 130 but that is enough for me to go up a band size. If you need this kind of bra, it's good to join the store email list and get a rewards card (or whatever they have), because the elastic eases after a few months and they cost much more than department store brands. When you know what you want, you can buy ahead and during sales, and Soma has a few huge sales every year.

I don't know... I am very short waisted with broad shoulders and ribs. Because of this, mine are wide set, and I guess I am lucky that they naturally sit high. When I push them up, it makes me look even shorter and wider up top. I personally prefer a minimizer bra, even though I'm only a C cup. My tops fit so much better. We are all so different, so it's hard to give hard fast rules for general categories, but at least Chi made us think about it.
@gailfinke83182 жыл бұрын
@@jennbetween8842 That's a good point. I have a petite build. Minimizer bras are awful on me because with a DDD cup and a narrow ribcage, pushing breast tissue out also adds pounds. I have several in one style that are more comfortable than the ones I wear every day but I only wear them for loungewear. My recommendation for people is to look at their overall figure from several angles, and if possible be fitted at a good store that sells bras in many shapes. The right size can still give you the wrong shape. A balconette bra, for instance, does not work for me.

I did go to the Macy's and Victoria Secret and they could not figure out what size/type of the bra I needed. I am in between sizes plus my girls are really round but not too sticking out. If I go larger size, the cup has an empty space inside. If I go a size down, my nipples spill out of the bra.
@Dan_Chiron2 жыл бұрын
This was a very interesting approach to bra fitting. My lolas are very wide at the base (no matter the size), like almost beginning mid way armpit, so I've learned to choose bras that have a more open underwire, instead of a very tight U underwire shape (4:05 and 4:31 for example, are big no-no's for me).
@creativecheersoffashionlau73642 жыл бұрын
Same here! I have a very wide base even after I had a reduction from E cup to C cup. The base won’t change. Often have to try which underwire will work. And also talking a bigger cup and smaller underwidth helps( i am now 75C but rather take 70D

In my opinion the basic shape categories (full on top/full on bottom, center full/side full, projected/shallow, conical/pendulous) are more worth to talk about. Very helpful video. I am personally rounded and full. You were spot on with your suggestions and criticisms of minimizers. I used to wear minimizers. They would squish the breast tissue in and out, which, while giving a smaller breast appearance, also made my chest appear broader, which made me feel very frumpy. The lightly line,d with good support underwires, ends up actually making my chest look smaller, because it keeps the girls centralized and more my natural shape. Very informative, with excellent examples! 👌

You didn't cover mine. They're narrow but full (36 DDD/G). I've lost around 40 pounds during the pandemic; my breasts have stayed the same size, but my back fat is way down. Underwires don't work for me because they're bigger than my "girls," and because they're as big as they are, minimizers are often a blessing, especially if I'm wearing a blouse. When you're my size, as long as the "girls" stay put, you don't worry about looking "sexy," but worry more about guys having conversations with the "girls" instead of with *you*. I also tend to have cleavage in my bras because trying to find a bra that fits and doesn't have underwires is impossible. Bras that just smoosh me in, such as many sports bras, don't work.

I’m super tiny & my breast bone kinda sticks out😕 so when wearing strapless or any wired bra that comes up high actually bruises me as it digs in & hurts! IDGAF about cleavage unless I’m wearing something it’d look good with but must wear plunge, push-up bras which I find uncomfortable. I'm sure a lot of people found this video very useful and I'm happy people are talking about these topics! You showed a lot of variety in shapes and styles, which is really neat. I'm just bummed my choices are often limited. I really wish more stores offered larger cup sizes for a more affordable price and with more variety. My size isn't even that large compared to many other women with similar issues (75G), but finding something that fits, looks nice and is affordable on my budget is a nightmare! I have an apple body and I've completely changed my wardrobe at 37yrs old and it's literally made me feel so confident I started working out and eating right and I'm down from a size 16/17 to a 11/12! I came across one of your videos on how to dress for your body shape and I took your advice! I bought something that was completely out of my comfort zone. "flare style, high waisted" dressy pants to wear on a job interview and after 1 year of looking for a job consistently - I was offered the position before I left the interview! I felt like I looked great, I exuded confidence and let my amazing personality seal the deal! I've never felt "comfortable" in clothes, my whole damn life I thought it was just me and everybody else looks comfortable so there is something wrong with me! You've opened my eyes and I'm so grateful. I sent back and bought a pair of the same pants I wore to interview in every color!! Hahaha But it's weird they have shrunk in the washer and don't look as stunning 😒. I thought about taking them back? I didn't even place them in dryer when washed because I was so afraid this would happen! Yesterday I watched your video on proper underwear for body style and I'll be trying my first pair of "high waist high leg cut" ( I believe that's what you recommend) soon! Pro tip for those of us larger than a C cup but looking for the comfort of a bralette (without uniboob) the size range could be a little more inclusive, but overall if you’re anywhere from an A to a DDD I’ve found a lot of luck with the line of bralettes from Parade (specifically the triangle style).They have a specific plus line for people with a larger cup size that comes with thicker straps and a thicker bottom band and it actually gives you good shape. I was wearing it under a tee shirt and I swear it looked like I was wearing a normal bra underneath without sacrificing my comfort, not to mention cute colors/patterns.

Thank you so much for the tipps. What I noticed about trying on bras is, that whenever I try on foreformed cups, no matter the size, they spill out on the side. So I only ever use bras with lace or other soft materials since they shape around my breasts and not the way round. And I realized, I like full cup bras better than any other. Since I have Turner's syndrome, I have a funnel chest and to find any bra that really fits great, is the holy grail for me.

I have some advice for women with my breast shape - mine are not SUPER close together but still comparatively close. Somehow that doesn’t really work great with Balconette Bras, I can always feel the wires cutting into my tissue at the center. Which is why I love Plunge and Demi Bras, as well as the traditional T-Shirt Bras. Anything that lightly pushes my breasts together is more comfortable to me because it follows my natural shape, whereas Balconette Bras don’t necessarily push my breasts together, just upwards and slightly apart. It was a sad revelation for me but still a valuable one - even though I always thought Balconettes looked absolutely beautiful on other women - they aren’t for me. So my advice for all people with breasts is - don’t try to work against it. If you don’t feel comfortable, it might not be for you, and that’s fine. Ultimately, with a bit of experience (and that kinda sucks, because I would have loved a short guide beforehand), you will find out what you feel most confident and comfortable with. Even my advice is just advice from my own experience. I hope it helps, but in the end, we all have to find out by ourselves.

But i also struggle with my chest looking like it’s 90% of my body due to my short waist.. they hang so low, im tired of doing the scoop and lift thing. i need a bra that pushes them up, holds them up, makes them look smaller while being complete full coverage.. idk if that even exists 😭

I've always had big breasts, and unfortunately for me it's the first place I gain weight and the last place I lose it. Some would call it a blessing, but when bras start costing around $100+ it's not so fun anymore. I think, according to your video, that my shape is round and full. I recently ran into the issue that no bras that I can find in lingerie stores or anywhere else really fit me. I always kinda spill over the edge no matter the shape. The last person who helped me said it's because I don't have a lot of 'side boob' that needs to be pulled forward. All my stuff is already in the front. So bigger bras typically end up rubbing me underneath my arms, causing discomfort. I am currently using bras that have no inlays or padding of any sort. I don't know if it's because of the slight misfit or what it is, but they all wear out in the span of a couple of months. Meaning they all try to stab me with the wire poking out from somewhere during that time. Any tips?? 😅😅
@tranquildoe2 жыл бұрын
Have you tried adding bra pads to the center inside of your breasts? If you try that on a bra you're already wearing, it might give you more natural padding under your arms? (Basically to try the opposite of what lots of bras do- trying to push them in together. Actually try to push them out a bit. I would try at the bottom inside first [If breasts were square, at the bottom inside corner]. But with the pads there it will still look full. Hope this helps!

I think you need better bras than what are in regular department/lingerie stores if they are wearing out that fast. I would suggest trying a bra from a European company that specializes in larger size bras, they tend to be better made and last longer than ones from North American companies.

@@deawallach3404 I live in Denmark and typically shop in a store that stocks larger sizes. Do you have any brand/company reccomendations?
