I would rather have a doctor with and open learning mind and admit that they made an error, than to have a doctor stuck in some old-school thinking, procedure and methodology because of their ego, stubbornness or refusal to change and learn something new. You put patients first which is a gift to patients that keeps on giving long after they are healed. Thank you for being honest, up front and open with us. I wish you were taking care of my situation.

I am 15 days post hemmeroidectomy surgery and let me tell you, your videos got me through the most difficult time of my life and I'm so thankful I found your channel. The week before surgery I was stage 4 from suffering 25 years after I had my son. I suffered in silence until they screamed we don't want to be a part if your body anymore. I thank you for giving me the courage to get the surgery and recovery. Your right..my surgeon used a laser and scissors and my recovery was not 😢too bad. I have soreness but most pain when I have a bowel movement but the pain is going away away and I've getting better everyday. So again do not beat yourself up because you are an angel.🙏

Unfortunately insurance companies suck. They make you (the patient & Dr) jump thru so many hoops before they will let you have a test or procedure that is the answer to the ailment.. Friend of mine hurt his arm. 1st an x-ray, 2nd physical therapy, finally mri ! Result- his muscles were torn off the bone resulting in surgery that was so over due that HR ended up with an arm that will never be the same or strong. It's not on you doctors it's on the insurance companies. Same thing is happening with me my arm hurts so bad there are days I want to blow it off with a shot gun. About the only thing patients can do is pray. Always get precertification thru the patients insurance just to be sure things are covered. I think laser is good or I wouldn't have all these stitch marks from hip to ankle from a previous vein removal. Keep up the good work. You are helping people you just may not know it.

@@eddiebalogh1590 best thing is to see a colorectal surgeon and get an examination . Some internal hemorrhoids they can band them which kind of strangles the hemorrhoid and stops blood flow to them and they pretty much shrink and die off . But if they get too big that’s when you need a hemorrhoidectomy and that you don’t want it’s so painful . External ones they lance and I had that done and it does hurt but not as bad as internal ones .

hey doc...I got kinda horror story. I had a hemroidectemy 10 months ago that was the most brutal, painfully insane surgery I have ever had!! I have hard parts of my spine removed and it didn't come close to that pain!! So everything was good and just when I got over the pain and it was 2 months later and I went to the bathroom and boom I got hemroids AGAIN!! I was so traumatized from the last surgery I didn't do to get checked out for 10 months!! But most people don't know you bottom end makes the most mucus out of anywhere in your body and with hemroids the mucus is insane!! So it's causing all kinds of other health issues and the surgeon said I would need another hemroidectemy AND IM FREAKING OUT!!! I JUST CAN'T GO THROUGH THAT AGAIN!! BUT I CANT LIVE LIKE THIS MAN!!! to make things worse I was in a bad work accident in 2010 and I got a bunch of metal in my lower back so it's just such an issue man and I seriously think about jumping off a building!!! I saw this video and I was actually one of your first subscribers and I put you on Reddit😄. I believe the Lord Jesus Christ brought me to your channel so I could spread it to lots of other people so they could get help. I seriously wish all my doctors were like you man!!! I'm not just saying that you really helped a lot of people!! So this Lazer surgery got me excited and gave me some hope.....I'm willing I'm in P.A. but I'm willing to travel to come and see you...I know my Medicaid won't work in the state you live in.....I'm trying something called HEM-HEALER to see if maybe it will help but man I'm DESPERATE I need help man.....can you please let me know how much you would charge me for the Lazer surgury?? I'm so so desperate to get my bottom end fixed. I can't travel or take on any speaking engagements like this and many churches have been asking me to come and speak. I was supposed to speak at a conference in Africa in December but now that all these issues are happening because of these hemroids that came back 10 months after the most brutal surgery ever!! It traumatized me man. No joke my whole body starts to shake. I can't even show normal and alot of this is mental from that surgery I'm sure but I'm really REALLY DESPERATE FOR SOME HELP!!! please I honestly don't trust another doctor to even look at me down there after going through all of this. I know that Lazer surgery would be absolutely AMAZING and I really have been loosing hope to ever get a life back again till I just saw this video.......can you please give me the office number. I'm so desperate!! thank you man. I don't know if you will even see this but I'm going to pray you do!!! 🙏✝️❤️🔥

My sympathy goes out to you fellow brother in Christ.. Lots of praying for your issue.. I will recommend a really good set of books from Anthony Williams. Especially cleanse to heal and liver rescue. Most people dont realize the Liver has alot to do with roids.. Bioflavonoids from Nature's Life will help with fast relief to get the veins to shrink back down.. Rutin is a very effective flavonoid that works quickly. Try drinking aloe vera and keep fats and proteins to a minimum.. papaya, bananas and potatoes are extremely healing foods. But everyone is different see what works for you..

I changed my whole diet after my hemroidectemy. My diet is basically scrambled eggs, oatmeal and bananas....I take stool softener 3 times a day but I'm a chronic pain patient so I take opioids since my spine surgery. Never really had any constipation issues. For some reason they don't affect me like that. I know that's not the problem because I had been taking them for almost 15 years before I had any issues......all this happened after I got covid and I couldn't even hold down water for almost 2 months. I had never been so sick. I'm a "COVID long hauler" whatever that is haaaa haaa. So I really haven't been healthy since......I finally went back to the surgeon but man Lazer surgery sounds like a dream compared to what I went through!!! I have tried everything and no good. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE PRAYERS!!! greatly appreciated!!!! I know the Lord can heal me just by thinking it so I have hope I'm going to wake up better one day but it's absolutely stopping my whole life. Anyway I hate talking about it. @@yourfriendlyproctologistif there’s a way to find out where laser fistula surgery is offered in the US, that would be good information for patients. It seems to be quite uncommon here.

Hola Dr Gracias for your honesty. I know that you are still researching using Lazer for Fissures but I would be interested in your thoughts on using Laser to fix a recurring or new fissures after you have had a LIS procedure. I had a LIS done back in March and have had some recurring issues. Gracias Eric

I don't think you explained the "why" in "why you changed your mind". Yes, you indicated that you had a bias because many payors do not reimburse for the laser procedure, but that does not explain not being aware of the science and the change of mind. I am not finger pointing. I am simply curious about exactly what changed because that then goes to the heart of sharing the science that is available about these treatments. Was there a gap in sharing of the information? My editorial comment is that payors (and perhaps others) do not put enough emphasis on the benefits of lower pain and faster recovery. Kind of like a municipality taking a low bid on a highway improvement project even though the low bid employs work only on weekdays between 8 am and 5 pm. The municipality prefers to offload the enormous social cost (time, pollution, etc.) onto 3rd parties (society and local residents) rather than select the more cost effective solution overall (for instance, a solution that has crews working 24 hours per day 7 days per week or crews working only at night and weekends.

The companies not approving these new proceed should not be allowed to partake in them. Believe me I’ve been cut 3 times in 3 different surgeries! The Blade shows not mercy and the recovery time is worst!

Thank you so much for your videos they’ve been very very helpful. I have a very complex horseshoe fistula. With many setons. Can you do a video about the pros and cons of moving to a stoma versus all the setons etc.? I think you and advance if you could find time to do a video on this. Of course I’ll be talking to my surgeon but I always like to see what someone else would say and you’re so good at explaining things. Thanks!

The other side of this coin is, that prices for any treatment in the US are INSANE. Who sets them? It is cheaper to get the plane and travel to eastern EU to have your teeth cured than to do it in America. In Poland for example, the national health insurance fund does not refund rubber banding of hemorrhoids. The only option is classical surgery and stitching. But you can do it privately and the cost of one hemorrhoid banding is like 10% of an average monthly wage, so for the majority of our society we do not get into lifetime debt because of such procedure. BTW, great videos. They help me a lot in my journey to healthy bottom!

I got laser haemorrhoid surgery here in NZ 3 days ago. The only pain medication I’m taking now is Panadol once a day, an inflammation tablet and cream twice a day. I’m walking around the block, driving kids to and from school and light house work. After I do a number two it stings like I’ve been stung by a bee, but goes after a shower in a few minutes time. So far so good !!

Dr.Chung after watching both videos Im not convinced of your new found confidence in the laser surgery option. Are the statistics that you provided with the older video wrong? Are there new more reliable studies that disprove them and paint a better picture of recovery and possible reemergence of hemorrhoids? This video seemed to only reinforce the pros of the surgery you mentioned in the last video but the cons you were so passionately against havent been addressed here.

Can you go into more detail about this procedure? What will the recovery be like and how long will it take? How much does it cost vs non-laser treatment? When would you use it with an anal fissure? (you previously said you wouldn't perform surgery on an anal fissure)
@certhass10 ай бұрын
i never will understand why insurance regardless of private or state funded will choose methods which means more pain and longer recovery time - which means in the end higher costs for the treatment (and if state funded a patient that needs more time at home instead of working and earning money and paying taxes)
