I'm honored haha i hope you dig the update, it's amazing. I use the Chord wham for Stranded by Gojira (high gain stuff). For transposing, the modulation effect "drop tune" is better. For the looper, i make some midi drums on my daw, export them as a .wav file and then into the headrush... Now i have a drum machine built on it :)

God dude I just adore listening to you play. You’re my favorite player on YT right now. I steal your licks all the time when I’m gigging with my band in the states LOL Love it so much 👊🏻

Wow ! I'm actually surprised at how well the Gigboard sounds when it comes to "pitching" with chords, sounds super usable actually (and definitely a feature I would enjoy). Saw your video few days ago and the comment Jesus left there, I'm glad to see that comparison updated, so thank you ! Special mention to the jam at the end... and from 9:40 to 9:50 : please stop doing that. Just stop playing so well. My jaw fell to the floor. Again. It hurts !

PS : The first few chords you played made me instantly think of a Marillion's song, can't seem to remember the name of it though...I thought was in their Brave album but it's not ! That progression Am - C - G - F / Am - C - Dsus4...loved that song aha EDIT : Found it, that's King from Made Again album...think that was my favorite ;)

The effect you’re looking for on the headrush to play in different tunings is the drop tune effect. You can find it in modulation. It works best as the first effect in the chain

Love all the tones in this video, so had to buy your presets straight away! What was the first preset called you used with the chord wham set to 2 steps down👍🏻

Hey I know this is an older video, but I wanted to ask.. you've had the chance to try out most of these pedal sized modelers. Which do you prefer for amp modeling? I think the snapshot feature in the HX makes it awesome, but I've heard mixed things about the amp tones compared to the Boss and Headrush. Thanks!

Hey John! What do you think about MX5 and Gigboard nowadays? Are Pod Go and Hx stomp better than Gigboard and Mx5? Thank you
@tomasmarques18514 жыл бұрын
Does it bother you that the Headrush does not have a stereo FXs loop? Have you used your Strymon Volante in the FX loop? Being it mono does that make it a deal breaker for you in comparison with the HX Stomp?
@johnnathancordy4 жыл бұрын
Umm it's not something that I've worried about just yet but I also think the delay and reverb on the Hx stomp is more to my taste. Also there's two mono FX loops potentially with the Hx stomp right?
@tomasmarques18514 жыл бұрын
johnnathancordy I don’t have an HX Stomp. Neither a Headrush gigboard, but I’ve been wondering if I should get one of the two. I do have the Strymon iridium but it’s a different kind of product (although fantastic) Getting something like the HX Stomp or the Headrush, already with an audio interface built in, is tempting. But I’m not yet sure if it’s the right time for me nor which would I prefer (i do like the big touch screen on the Headrush as my eyesight is not as good as it once was!). Feeling though that not being able to plug in my Strymon Big Sky and Timeline in stereo would be disappointing....anyway, thanks for answering, and for the great playing as usual!

If you really want a stereo FX loop the full size Headrush pedalboard has that feature. I use it with a TimeLine and a Big Sky in stereo, sounds great! But it’s a much larger device.

Jon Buck hello, I have a similar setup, however; when you have the strymon’s in the effects loop, you lose the tail feature, how are you getting around that?

expression pedal aside, POD GO or Headrush Gigboard for your style of music? Anyone tried both?
@jeffbateman23392 ай бұрын
John, I realize this is an old video, but were you using 3rd party IRs here or stock cabs? I find everything on the headrush to be way too bright

My band plays in E flat. I prefer to play in E cause I'm used to the string tension etc and I'm too lazy to retune 😂 I simply drop it with the HR and I think it works great!
@jeremynollen35693 жыл бұрын
I cant get that to work. Whenever I try I can only mix the modulated tones into the natural ones. How do you set this up?
