Hi Harrison, I’ve just picked this up on the green rubber strap & wow it looks great. So happy with this purchase. I don’t think a colour would work on the dial personally, I like the white text. I’ve owned 2 Submariners in the past & I think the Seamaster is every bit as good. Both awesome of course.

I bought mine yesterday. The dial is perfect. The green is perfect. There is No other way to describe it. The green is amazing in low light, sunlight - anywhere. And no - it does never look black or Nearly Black, but green greyish in low light. This is a perfect watch and particularly for the money this is seriously amazing value.

Obviously as a KZbinr there is a pressure to release a certain amount of videos to keep front of mind, yet it goes to show that until you get hands on with an actual watch it's tricky to offer a genuine critique especially in its colour aesthetic. Marketing and/or online photos can be so misleading. It's great that you have put it out there to say that your initial thoughts on the green were a little presumptuous, if not actually misguided - hats off to you. BTW the green is super stealthy and almost black in certain light. Love your stuff Harrison, keep it up Sir.

I love Omega ( I own three Omega watches) and this Seamaster is beautiful but said that, I can't buy one of this because to me is too glossy and I don't like the bracelet design, it's great bracelet but it's not for me. Thanks for another great video.

It is glossy but due to the both sides applies AR coating it is not that bad. This green is timeless. I kind of get frustrated by the common sentiment that every watch should be black, blue, or occasionally white. It reminds me of how boring car designs get during a commute. I am thankful whenever new materials and color options enter the fray. Still wishing for a Speedmaster Red side of the Moon for that matter. Also I am a big proponent of larger more ornate hands as that is part of the experience of a mechanical watch that separates it from a quartz watch for me. If you have the torque, use it.

I feel the same way that it's not my cup of tea when I see the picture of the seamaster 300. but feel opposite when i see and try the piece in real person. once you wear it on, you can't help liking it. and i bought a gray dial blue bezzle one. Omega definetly have to change the way they promote this series

@@Watchmeifyoucan more like a wannabe Kermit. The green on the seamaster is a deep forest green. It look nice in person and the contrast with the white letters and markers is cool. I personally prefer the price and style of the Tudor divers. The big crown no date and the depth of the dial is simply stunning. I have owned the seamaster with the black dial but sold it for a Tudor Royal and the Harrods. Omegas are great and I still own my blue aqua Terra and railmaster but after trying on a Tudor it felt more of a bang for my buck.

Can't really go wrong withw the 300m Pro. But I also think Omega has priced their models too closely. e.g. the Speedracer is only $1000 more ....one has "skeleton arms" (hard to see at night), one has gone to the moon and has "solid arms" making them easier to see in the dark...)...the questin is WHY you're choosing the 300m pro over the Speedracer Moonwatch....most don't dive nor go to the moon so...heh...

Genuine question. You have a white dial SMP but the indices are white so don't you have trouble reading it?

The hour markers are applied and raised with black on the sides and the top edges - the black actually contrasts the white markers against the white face. I’ve had my Great White 300m for over 2 years (it’s my go to daily wear) and it’s never been an issue. Best to go have a look though, and try it on if there’s an AD near you, if you think it may be an issue for yourself.

@@mnt5349 I have the blue i am not interested in the white. I just don't see how he can say the white markers don't contrast with green well. White dial against a dark rim I see that. But a dark dial against a 90% bright white marker is in no way less legible for someone who has trouble with colors. Overall it's actually more contrasting.

@@thorodinson376 Agree - I’ve got a couple of the older 300m Seamasters (blue dial and black dial) and there’s no issues. I like the CH videos but Harrison does have a tendency to contradict himself and is prone to talking bollocks. It sometimes feels like he’s not researched properly and then rambles a bit to get by. However, I do appreciate and like the videos so I’ll cut him some slack as he’s putting a decent effort into them 👍.

I own a green Seamaster since May, but I'm very underwhelmed. As you correctly pointed out: it's more of a dark grey/black colour than green, but this is only in *in normal lighting conditions.* That's not an advantage in my eyes, because in bright sunlight the Seaweed is very bright green indeed. This can be "cool" or a "feature" for some people, but to me it's a huge disadvantage because people want to wear a green watch because they want to make a statement and you don't want it to clash with the other colours you're wearing. IMHO the Omega Seaweed does neither: it doesn't make a statement especially on a cloudy day or indoors, nor does green go well with certain colours that you might be wearing if the sun pops out or you turn on the halogen lighting inside. A 'normal' black Seamaster (with either white or black dial) or even the blue one is much more versatile in my opinion. To be honest: I only bought it because I was sick and tired of waiting for a Rolex Starbucks/Cermit and I didn't want to pay the rip-off grey market prices, but I now see why the Rolex would have been worth the wait.. ☹ Edit: and since I'm nitpicking anyway, another gripe is that it's very difficult to read the date on the dark green background with white numbers. It would have been much better if they would have flipped that around: a white background with dark green numbers, especially since the dark green is almost black anyway.

Bill...I'm with you on this. Wayne has a bad take here. Omega as a product is every bit as advanced and well made as Rolex. I LOVE Rolex and own several, but Omega deserves respect. Let's see if Wayne can quantify why he thinks a sub should be twice the price of a SMP. Wayne...guessing you just like to get people upset, but take it from someone who has been in this hobby for decades. Most of the fun is in interaction and leads to great deals. I do not pay grey market for AP, PP and VC neither… if there is shortage of overseas or royal oaks or nautilus I just buy something else until the hype is over and I can get them for retail price ;) Hype never last forever!
