Hey I am bobshmo! Thanks for the feature! I did indeed hit legend with this team later that week. If anyone out there is looking to use the birb, my only advice is pretend you don’t have ancient power and it’ll go great :) Also in game 2: they shielded the diggersby bc they didn’t know I was one off an EQ, and an EQ from that range either KOs or puts them in range of a couple sucker punches.

Is Malamar with high attack always recommended or would you say it's a matter of taste? Nice battles!

@ I wouldn’t say it’s strictly better because obviously you lose a little bulk. If you truly care I’d recommend simming the malamars you catch on pvpoke and checking out the wins/losses they may gain or lose vs the rank 1

You mentioned in this video that you can immediately tell the rank of a trainer just by their set of battles. It would be fun to see a series where we submit one battle and you go thru several in a video and guess the elo

6/15/11 is the best IV spread. 6 for attack to be able to do one more damage per fast move (on toxapex especially) and 11 HP still maintain's your bulk.

One thing I noticed about climbing and winning at higher levels is that you won't win most games without either (1) calling a catch or catching, (2) baiting or calling baits, (3) sniping, or some other "outplay" move. You can see it in this video, to your point.

I watch your and others videos exactly for the reason you recommend - seeing what's out there, how it is played, with which Pkmn combined, what is dangerous etc. Sometimes I use them as inspiration, but usually I try the ones I like/that seem interesting to me. But I also want to take part in a regional, so still wanna learn the Meta Pkmns play style. Even played this team at the start of the season, bc I caught a GL Moltres. Thx for the vid, it helps me with learning the benefits and how to play at higher ranks.

@16:16 hah. We will! The galarian moltres does look fun, still don't have one and fully expect to get a 1508 CP one whenever I do manage to catch, Did get a decent shadow feraligator from a grunt tonight. My first one, so looking forward to the next takeover to tm frustration off of it.

I personally watch content creator videos for information on my Pokémon, especially when my battles are maxed out. Getting those extra reps by someone who knows best what they're doing is like being an NFL player watching someone else practice for them. Very few have run identical teams to ones I'm currently running, and vice versa.

It makes since in one way… we lost all flyers mons in this game so using G-Moltres with a move that is equal to old good Counter makes since… What doesn’t make sense is how to get I suppose it is no different than getting it in raids am treading with a low lv account for the IVs!

@BhongasBracks I don't mind grinding in a game, but people have lives and jobs. At some point in a gotcha game, the requirements become so statistically unlikely that the novelty losses it's novelty
