At least this version of one because in real life, mosquitos are my public enemy number one. When I tell you I hate them with a passion, last year was the worst they were in my house and hounded me for months starting in Spring and going well into the Fall season. Waking up to the buzzing of one in your ear, sitting on the toilet, trying to eat, study, sleep, anything. I want to pull a Rumbling on them, consequences to the ecosystem be damned.

I always love anime adaptations of gag manga. But, I really love how OPM does its story telling. They spend like 90% of an episode building up enemies, side characters, and tension. Just to subvert it in the most hilarious of ways with Saitama. All while still managing to look visually amazing.

2:10 In a lot of animes you have that fine line of prejudice when you don’t have any context, but after you watch it, you understand (because they’re too original). For example, when I saw an Naruto picture for the first time +15 years ago, I thought those lines on his face made him look weird, few days later, by chance it was passing an episode on tv and I got hooked up for life. Still my favorite story of all time and what influenced me the most in my personal life as a whole.

This could be called a "gag anime" (that's the usual Japanese translation). Others that I recommend are: School Rumble, daily lives of high school boys (the japanese title is Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou), and a new fav of mine, Saiki K (this one is particularly fast-paced, perfect for an ADHD brain lie me, but if you are slow at reading subtitles, you'll miss a ton of stuff). Also, I suggest before watching more gag anime, you should watch more in other genres first, as gag animes often have lots of culturally-based jokes, or make jokes that reference other anime, so the more anime-watching experience you have, the more you will laugh your assess off haha)

If you've watched other animes like Naruto, you might find One Punch Man more enjoyable. Many people have become accustomed to the typical storytelling formula of training for 100 episodes to get strong, remembering the past for 20 episodes to awaken a secret move, and defeating formidable enemies. One Punch Man, on the other hand, offers a different vibe by breaking away from that formula and saying, "No, we're not doing that boring stuff."

As i didn't see it in the comments I thought I'd mention there is a theory about why he cant kill the mosquito. Some believe that Saitama can't hurt natural creatures. Humans are just unnatural enough he can knock us out, but animals are innocent and so he cant hurt them. Also just wanna say my dryer makes the same song when its done lol.

Absolutely agree; this is not the first anime you introduce someone to. OPM is a pastiche of the "shonen journey" manga. You really can't appreciate it without having experienced other shonen journeys, and the associated tropes that OPM plays on.
