Thank you so much for this special reaction! I (again, sigh) missed the window to join y'all live. But I greatly enjoyed it when I COULD get away this morning to watch it. Ms. Courtney is...truly amazing. This is a good start for her new band, and I think we'll be seeing them a lot soon. She just teased a similar LIVE for her original JAGGED, apparently coming this next Monday. I like the way she's always working to improve, to learn, to extend her expertise. And after a decade of work, she's truly growing into that superstar-to-be who first showed up on a world stage in The Voice Kids UK (season 1, 2017). She didn't win, yet Simon Cowell's team spotted her and issued an invitation to AGT for 2018. Where she went viral, as you know. I can just hear them as they see her JUMP off the stage to land, on bent knee, bowing to will.i.am, Pixie Lott, and her coach/mentor Danny Jones, finishing by dramatically dropping on her back to the floor, visually leaving every last bit of energy out on that stage, just as Danny had told her to do, just not in a way he'd have ever expected. As he said later, "Courtney, you are CRAZY!" I can just see Simon's team going "OH, YEAH, we have GOT to get that little girl on AGT!" Reminds me so much of Freddie Mercury and Tina Turner when she's rocking out...and even in this sad song just FILLED with LOSS, she just HAS to MOVE to the music, but totally in the moment, expressing ALL that LOSS not just through her voice but through the medium of her whole body, her whole BEING. Also, in odd way, reminds me of Keith Urban...she's going to follow him and Tina and Freddie into being a crowd favorite at their live shows, always moving, always delivering great music, always working their magic on your heart, making you FEEL every bit of the emotion(s) they're feeling as they sing. We shall see. Give that girl a year on the road (if that's even still viable path these days with all the constraints on the live music biz), some concentrated time with immediate audience feedback, a very good band (that keeps improving too), and we shall see just how big a true star she becomes. Absolutely love that kid and her music. COURTZ ROCKS!

Thanks to all 3 of you, Clint, Tazzz and Courtney. Can't wait to hear her next video premier of "Jagged", that she went to London just to record these live videos for her fans. Like Edward said, (I just realized I repeated what he said afterward), she originally wanted to release her newest music whenher 1st album gets released, I believe before the end of the year, but decided, due to the holidays and being a time of Christmas celebrations and Xmas music, to record these instead and then release her new album after the holidays. That was a very thoughtful and a well thought out decision. Not to mention very generous for the money it costs to record these at that top studio in London. She's one of a kind.

Hi. Always the coolest, insightful Courtney reactions. I never cease to be amazed at what Courtney can do. A voice that can rock a stage one minute and then come back and rip your heart out with the rawness and intensity that she puts into a gritty ballad like this. Unmatched vocal power, control and versatility. Music is always a sensory experience, but when Courtney sings, it's as much of a visual experience as it is an audio one. It's like a wave of feeling and emotion that washes over you. I don't know of any other artiest that can create that kind of effect in her listeners, like Courtney can. Also, and I experienced this first hand when I saw her live at Carnegie Hall. Courtney is the greatest artist and vocalist I've ever heard, but when she's singing live, she somehow manages to take that greatness up another couple of levels. No one else like her in music, and it's always a privilege, and pure joy, to be able to see and hear her perform. As we get closer to Courtney's album drop, she is making plans to begin touring, and one of those things she is working on is putting together her band. So, two of the new members of her band are introduced in this video. She also said that they didn't want to release the album or any of the pre-album singles during the holidays, when everyone is focused on other things, which makes perfect sense. So, the initial single from her album will drop very early next year. She has said plenty of new content will be coming in the meantime. This 'Call Me Back' live was the first piece of that additional material, and she also dropped a short update video about her album. Next up is a live version of her original, 'Jagged', which will drop next Monday, November 18. Hearing and seeing Courtney perform a banger like 'Jagged' live will be mind blowing. It will be on her KZbin channel. So, she is going to keep us busy over the holidays. No better Christmas present than a new Courtney tune.

My own take on the song is the second of your two scenarios: that the friend has passed away, and the singer knows it. I take it to have been a non-romantic relationship, a dear friend who was always there through the hard times, to be the voice she could talk to at 4 a.m., and now is gone, leaving her with "a million questions it's too late to ask." That's the feeling I get.

You complimented the musicians for being in tune with the nature of the song. I don't know if you were aware that these were two of the members of Courtney's own new band, the band she will tour with in 2025 after her album comes out. This is the first time in Courtney's career that she is backed by musicians who are actually working for her, not hired by a producer or record label.
