People here in Miami really love their EV's. In fact they are so happy with them they wish they never got them. The reason? Because they are only getting 700 to 1000 miles out of a set of tires. Here in Miami because of the hot sun the roads get very hot. It seems the rubber compound used is much softer than non-EV cars. This leads to accelerated tire wear as more rubber is left on the road surface then normal tires. In fact this is such a concern that the state is looking into rubber pollution caused by EV tires. It seems that the rain is washing the rubber off of the roads, and this runoff is full of little rubber bits. This rubber is then making its way to the beach and into the ocean. But don't worry,,,, EV's are great!!

The CEO of Hertz was fired after he bought 30,000 EVs for rental and NOBODY wants to rent them. I rented what I thought was a gas vehicle at Bradley International Airport (BDL) the 3rd of April of this year. The counter guy said all we have are EVs. I said I don't want an EV. I live in a town in Western Massachusetts with a population of 460 people. We don't even have traffic lights. There is no place to charge an EV. He said that's all we have left. It was snowing, night time, frigid cold with sleet. So we needed lights, heater and wipers. I was stuck so I took the car. Talking about stressful, I kept watching the mileage calculator unwind. Counter guy said no worry click on the app and it will show you all the charging stations. I said you didn't hear me. We have no businesses at all in Tolland, MA. There are no charging stations. Made it 40 miles home and turned that turd back in the next day. EV charging stress is real and an asinine way to drive in the country. You can keep those POS.

Freedom of speech is one thing. The Government’s constant fiddling with the company car tax system is the underlying issue. 63% of all new car sales are to the fleet/company car segment. And that is growing year on year. The lack of BIK tax on EV company cars is what’s pushing EV sales. Personally, I was paying £7,222 every year in company car tax on a big, diesel German estate. The swap to a Tesla Model Y long range now costs me £498 a year. Over a 4-year business lease, that’s nearly a £30,000 saving. The Tesla is not perfect by any means, but £30k is £30k. And that’s mine.

@@arlrb76With respect, I never said it wasn’t. I’m painting a real world picture of 63% of the uk new car market when given a choice of what car to choose. To a family, you can do a lot with £30,000. Even if you have to put up with a few EV failings. The big Mercedes was a far superior car. But not at the cost of an additional £30k in tax paid. That’s purely down to the Government manipulation of the tax system.

6 fast charges use the equivalent electricity to 1600 houses for that charge period. Impressive 🧐
@djtaylorutube9 ай бұрын
Show your working, then repeat for burning petrol or diesel. We can take a quick stab at it, if we say a fast charge would be full battery, that's about 2 gallons. So what you're saying is that you could power 1600 houses for the same as around ONE tank of petrol. How does that sound?

Hi Lee, Don't know if you heard about the battery recycling facility that was on fire last night (Mon 8th April)? Fenix Battery Recycling in Kilwinning, Scotland. I'm a resident who lives nearby and it was very scary!! Thankfully no-one was injured but it amazes me how close this building is near to peoples houses. The poor people all had to get evacuated from there homes last night to place of safety. The smoke/fumes are still evident today 14 hours later with fire crews still on the scene.. Is this the first of many?

At least it was only the poor people that were affected. Thank the lord the middle class masses were able to stay in their detached houses.
