Even from a Republican perspective, I don’t see any justification for the unwavering support for Trump among Republicans. With both halves of Congress at the beginning of his term he didn’t secure a border wall, no comprehensive immigration reform, he failed to repeal or replace Obamacare, failed to hold China’s feet to the fire in any meaningful way, tariffs were ineffective and maybe even harmful, he did massive deficit spending, ramped up drone strikes at the beginning of his administration, got a photo opp with North Korea without securing any real concessions, the list goes on. I could make a list this long and maybe even longer with his rhetoric, his attempt to essentially coup the government and entrench his power past his term limit against the will of the electorate. The difference is night and day it’s not really even close.
