They stay in my ears when running and become unnoticeable. They are tight but comfortable. The sound quality is about the same as the 1st gen buds. They pair more easily with my LG G8 ThinQ and immediately reconnect when removed from the case. The sound balance is excellent, good but not overpowering base and clean mid tones and highs.Cons: The noise cancellation is good but perhaps a little less effective than the Bose ANC on the 1st gen buds. Passthrough mode as not as good as the 1st gen buds making it a little more difficult to hear conversations when in passthrough.

Airpods pro 2 : washed, full cycle of 1h20 min. What I did 1/Did not put them back in the case 2/ put them in a rice ball, individually each airpod and the case OPEN 3/waited 24h => they SURVIVED with NO ANY COMPROMISE... Everything is how it was before an fully fucntional. Good job Apple

Yes, washed them in my robe. Discovered the mistake 1/2 way through the wash. Got them out and the right one squeaked and was sound distorted. Read in another post to take the rubber ear pads off and suck repeated on the open end. Sounded funky to me but what to loose? You can, in fact, feel air moving through them! Also used a hair dryer on them from a distance, making sure they didn't get too hot. Did this back and forth, sucking and blowing (hmmm...doesn't sound nice) but it did work! After a few sequences, the sound was back undistorted. Hope this helps!

Washed and dried mine last night. Did the exact same thing as yours. ONLY thing that worked for me was vacuum sealing them in rice for 12 hours. Works just fine now.

Accidently washed and dried my airpods pro out of their case and they still work and sound good with noise control off. Noise Cancellation mode sounds a little muffled. Mainly use them for talking on the phone so I'm relieved. Audio quality for music on these is mediocre to begin with but that's for another thread.

I left the buds only in my hoodie pouch. Washer and dryer. Yep...full wash and dry cycle oh plus 20 mins of bonus dry time because the towels and hoodies werent quite dry enough. I didnt notice them until I took the last thing out of the dryer. They sound totally fine. I was a little shocked that I got away with it. Its been about a week now and they are still good to go.

Yup, washed em and they worked fine for about a week, now the led indicator doesn’t light up at all. They do seem to charge but it won’t connect via blue tooth. Says connected for a second and then right back to not connected and forget device. Ughh 🤦🏼‍♂️

So happy came across your video. I feel less alone in this. I just realized I washed my AirPods today 😔 They were not in the case! Didn’t have the case on me yesterday when I took them out of my ears and put them in my pocket. Naturally staying on top of the laundry, did a load this morning … and wouldn’t you know it washed the dress I had on yesterday with the AirPods still in a pocket. At any rate, have them in a cup of rice right now going to leave for a few hours I did put them in the case and it appeared like they were going to try and charge so we will see what happens. Glad to know from your experience possibly they will still work hoping the quality is not too different. Thanks for this video.

So it didn’t end up working well. Did get sound back but also weird feedback noise as well. Went to apple and replaced the buds. In my case that was less expensive than buying new. My case is fine because it didn’t get washed 🙃 at any rate, will never make that mistake again. Sorry this happened to you guys as well. It stinks.

I washed one of them. I had put it in my apron pocket then washed my apron. I didn’t even realize it til I was taking the laundry out of the washer. My heart skipped a little. I put it in the case with the other one and it showed 83% battery so I put it in my ear. It made a high pitched squeal at first but now it works fine.

Just pulled my right pod out of the washing machine (they were in my back shorts pockets) - put it in a pill bottle minus pills but with the little moisture wicking thingy & packed the remaining space w/rice - put the top back on the bottle back & I’m gonna wait for 24 hours. Fingers crossed- I’ll check back with you tomorrow.

Popped out of my ear on a foot bridge- Found the one large crack and drop to the water 15 feet below. They were under 3 feet of water for about 10 minutes as I climbed down a near cliff in sandals, navigated watermelon sized boulders, standing in 4 feet of water. Fortunately, it was on a rock, only 3 feet down- it made a loud home for about five minutes and then seems to be working now, although my clothes are wet from head to toe.

just sent my AirPods Pro 2s though a 1h30 cycle they were out of the case in my pocket in some shorts, I let them laundry sit in the machine for a few hours, so they were in wet environment for probably at least 4h, only realized where they were when AirPods fell out when I was putting the wash in the dryer, as of now they do charge in the case and play sound ok, but will keep y'all updated here:

I washed them and unfortunately they dont work for noise cancellation and transparency. Although, if you turn it off and just have it on the normal “off” mode, that static, seashell is non existent with no sound.

Yup. Washed mine too but fortunately, b4 the machine spun for drying, I realised my AirPods were not seen anywhere.. got them out of the machine just in time.. dried them and presto.. they work just as fine

I washed my second pair of airpods pro…I found the first one has dried out completely and has been restored to full function after about 6 months. Hopefully the second one dries out over the next 6 months properly enough and works again as well…🤦🏾‍♂️

This may sound nasty guys but out of reading every comment I fixed mine !! I washed mine on heavy dutie for 45 min just didn’t dry them! Before I dried the AirPods with the charger case came out ! (Secret) I took the ear pod thing out of each air pod and grabbed each one and sucked and sucked !! For like 10 mins and it works ! I first got whistle noises with ALOT of static ! Then another one worked better then the other ! Just suck n suck n it should work!!

I just washed mine, and while they work, they do this weird ringing noise, and squeal an ear piercing squeal, every now and then. I've left them in rice for like 6 hours now. I'm still gonna leave them overnight in rice, hopefully thatll get them fixed fully. If not then I'll see what Ill do.

I washed mine literally 2 weeks after I bought mine on sale at Costco $159.99 My wife found them while putting the clothes into the dryer. Opened them open water poured out, popped them in my ears, and out came a terrible feedback sound, like when you put a microphone close to a speaker. I will open them up and try to dry them out and let you guys know if it possible. I repair iPhones on the side so I have a little experience with smaller electronics, this is a first for AirPods! Awesome video BTW!!

I was doing the dishes and my left pro fell in a bowl of water.. I quickly fished it out and shook and dried it.. it was working fine afterwards but in the morning it wasn’t working...
