There are those who have good skills, while the others are just excellent and are on the next level. She hopes that the excellently talented trainees can pass through thi cut line while the "less" talented can try improve their talent and skill for their next chances.

everyone i see keeps saying that makes it fair, but it really does not? it's such a selfish mindset. 'you get one chance to try for a part and if we don't vote for you, which we won't, you get scraps at the end and don't you dare try and speak against it or you're the problem on the team.' a really terrible way to construct the parts and performance -- designed to basically guarantee the people at the top get whatever they want, even if someone else might actually fit really well, but they never get a chance to show what they can do 'cause they 'used up their one chance.'

@@giorgiaschito3590 i was immediately annoyed at the 'why didn't you speak about this before???' she? did? dayeon was so upset she cried about it, right in front of the whole group, and voiced how she thought it wasn't fair that they all only had one chance and couldn't see if they fit anything else. and she was shot down for speaking about it, as if the mere suggestion that they all actually get a chance to create the best line up was her, like, disrespecting the other girls who'd already been voted into their parts. when, in truth, it was just logical that they should really all be diving deep to check who best fits each role -- not just accidentally trying for one thing that the others would never of voted for them for and being trapped with something at the end. i don't like that she was painted as this selfish crybaby, when she was totally right.

IT ANNOYED ME SO MUCH like I have another cell I support Dayeon isn't in it but I was like "but she did SHE DID???!" and then everyone else agreed silently to want other parts when the whole group lowkey shot Dayeon down. If I had been Dayeon I would have said that infront of the judges and group "I didn but got shot down" but she was shy and wasn't sure if she wanted to mention the whole problem in the first place

Im gonna write the same thing as i wrote before, just in diffrent words - "the eve" team was the worst from all of the ebs. "pretty u" felt like an acctual group, they completly owned the song, "mic drop" improved so much and its truely amazing. on the other hand "the eve" felt like a fight for spotlight and it just ruined whole vibe of the song

I personally don't like Pretty U as a song so I've only heard it once and when I watched this performance on youtube I was like; What girl group are they covering? Looked up the song name and found out it was a Seventeen song. Girls 10/10 killed that cover and made it sound like an original girl group song.

@@xhadow8815 yeah. i wasn't a carat until clap era so i'm not that familiar with pretty u, and when i listen to it it didn't grasp that much but that's just my opinion. it's literally one of the most successful songs in svt's discog and that's when they got their first win. but when i watch these girls perform, i feel like they gave a whole new feeling to the song. it doesn't feel like they're covering a senior group, which is a male group at that. i bet people who aren't familiar with the original singers would probably think they're singing their own song

For me personally, mic drop team was the worst ebs and one of the worst overall. They didn't have the enerygy they were supposed to have. Mic drop is really hard because its all about the energy and the mic drop team lacked that. Pretty u team was the best but the eve was definitely in the top 5 best performance overall. Idk why people are saying the performance is bad just because they don't have much teamwork. The vocals were really good, the girls shined individually and the stage presence was one of the best. I know they lacked teamwork but that doesn't mean their performance was really bad

Always looked forward to these every week! And my top 9 has practically been redone after this connect mission. Extra notes: - One thing that literally bothered me the most minus the rushed pace of the episode was how harsh/jarring the transition between fiesta team 2’s feedback and team 1’s performance. - saw a comment from the fiesta team 1 video that an important aspect of iz*one’s dances is that everyone has an individual killing part with their various hand gestures and highlights. Team 1 excelled at this and everyone stood out and connected well. (My personal pick for the mcountdown benefit) - Bora really went up into my top 9 after this episode. One of the highlights of the episode was honestly seeing Bora being a great leader. - Mic Drop was good! Seeing their improvement during the episode was great and Jeong Min really guided the team well. I see why Mic Drop was chosen as the song in the EBS battle, but I think Spring Day/I Need U would also be a great song choice to give another theme in the EBS - Pretty U team was honestly wholesome and serotonin boost. The change in killing part honestly gave them the win in the EBS battle. Myah was such a great center and Yunji was also a great leader for the team. - Shana & Jiyoon really embodied the Eve the best (and Suyeon’s part was great too) and their vocals complement so well together. They helped make the performance feel clean. My take on the whole “having a bunch of aces in a team” is that people would need to be willing to step back in order to maintain team balance and have strong communication. Also I personally feel that the subtlety in the Eve was kinda lost in the cover (with the exception of Shana and Jiyoon).

I totally agree with comment about judges. Unlike produce series, gp999 mentors' main role is not only to help trainees perform their show better, but also judges them too. I hope for more suggestions and effort from mentors that they kinda lacked for now.

It's obvious m🐍 only shows like 1/10 of what the mentors/masters say. I'm sure theuly were often helping them during the practice, telling them what they could do better etc. but it's just not included in the show unfortunately. I wish this program had like 20-25 episodes so those and just the girls playing around could be part of the show too. But what did we expect.... the snake only wants money, they don't really give a 💩 about the girls nor even about Fany and Sunmi.

just commenting on the fancam thing, usually the fancams are not the same performance as the actual show, its a different take altogether. (tbh i didn't watch any fancams for this so idk if that is the case for GP999) Also they release them earlier because when they didn't do it this way in the early produce seasons everyone complained about how unfair it was for the first batch of performances to have an extra week of people voting based on the first mission performances.

Mic Drop, Pretty U, and The Eve teams all fell flat to me for different reasons. - Mic Drop: there was a youthful energy to the performance that just doesn't gel well with the actual song. While there weren't many technical flaws, it just felt kind of off. Like a cute concept group testing out a badass concept, maybe? - The Eve: It was a straight up competition. One if my picks, Su Ruiqi, actually felt a little selfish to me with the way she questioned why she had to give up one of her killing parts to another trainee. It felt like soloists getting together for a special performance. It kind of proves that putting popular and highly skilled people together doesn't always create balance. I also hated the obvious Doyeon evil edit for drama, but what else could we expect from Mnet? 😐 - PrettyU: The team was cute...too cute. I think they deserved to win. The concept and performance was just not my cup of tea. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Admittedly, a nitpick though, lol 😂

The Eve performance was immaculate. The skill level, synchronization, etc. It all looked cohesive and in harmony. I don’t think many people would be saying “they are competing with each other” if Mnet and the judges didn’t plant the idea first to justify their chosen storyline. Everyone seemed to be getting along with the exception of Dayeon who wanted to try out for more parts then others and had a “me vs everyone else” mindset right from the get-go.

I liked all the performances but I have to say my bottom perf would be The Eve lol... It was... It felt like they are trying to go girl crush like a Blackpink song when The Eve had a totally different vibe. All the other performances at least captured the vibe and atmosphere of the song even if they made mistakes but The Eve was just all over. They tried to make all their parts a killing part and some of them were overly aggressive expression or gestures when it was a calm part. My favourite is definitely the Fiesta's team and the Pretty U team was so adorable.

Reading the comments I feel like I'm the only one whose fab performance was The Eve, whcih is also because I loved the song choice itself at the first palce and the members were so strong their stage presence and charisma was just overflowing. Hell Yaning would have been my fav after this performance if she wasn't such a rude bi*ch. But the team definitely lacked the team spirit, although I really loved the performance as a whole cuz the members all shone really really well. There was no weak member the energy dam.n. this was the aggression and the energy I expected in the Mic Drop performance, it really disappointed me especially in terms of stage presence. My favourite contestant now is Su Ruiqi like damn that woman really ate up the performance her stage presence please the expressions🙌🙌

Also main character syndrome means being the center of criticism too so mnet gives that to random girls they want to push they air judges opinion of their main character. I know the remarks they give after performances are longer. I would really like if they cared more about us seeing actual mentors. Rather than just showing off hand remarks they think make good tv

I forgot to mention in the community post, but although i'm so so happy that team one YES or YES gets to perform on countdown (their performance was outstanding, so stable, everything team wise was there, i think it even challenged the original ngl), I just have a slight reservation in the fact that the teams were split into 9s, the same amount of members TWICE has. Yes, the other teams could have been chosen, but I think there was a definite bias towards YES or YES being picked. It was the first song option available for teams of 9. It just seemed really convenient that they got chosen, to be frank. Who is to say that the FIESTA Group could have been picked, should the group number been 12? Or The Fifth Season group if it was 7? I enjoyed all of the performances so far, it's just the only thing that has stuck in the back of my mind since I watched the ep ! Anyone else or just me bsuadifbsakd

@@higagibbigagih6231 Yeah ik it was good from a logistics point of view it was just the only reservation that I had: with the other performances they had to learn the choreo and block it to suit 9 members, vocal parts distributed out/shared, whereas in the YES or YES (and I know that they didn't allocate vocal parts based on the members to give each of the contestants a fairer split), they could have just learnt the choreo watching mirrored versions of YES or YES, ik thats what i did kekw, and just block it using that and the vocal parts. All of this is /nm btw i think im just emptying my thoughts out hehe

My opinion about the Dayeon situation is that the way they (mnet) framed the scenes portrayed it like Dayeon was asking for parts because she was unsatisfied with her role not because she felt she embodied the vocal parts, but because she wanted to stand out. And with the other girls not backing her up when raising her concerns, it felt like every other member was happy with their choices and she was the only one complaining. It wouldn’t be fair given that everyone else was happy with their choices to switch them around for one person. However, this could have easily been solved if the girls would have spoke up sooner rather than later about their frustrations instead of letting Fuening (idk how to spell her name) make the decisions for everyone. Also I disliked her coming to the judges and notifying them of what happened, because it seemed like she was trying to tell on her teammates which viewers didn’t receive well. As a whole though I think the girls, all 99, have to get better at advocating for their selves especially considering their fate in the competition is dependent on that.
