@@jesustovar2549 it's fine to watch the prequels first, i was just making a joke. but honestly watching the prequels first is a bad idea because it makes the original trilogy look boring because of the slow lightsaber fights (and plot twists, but everyone knows about them now) what i'm about to talk about is completely off topic and has nothing to do with you (jesustovar2549) so you can skip the rest of this reply if you want. the only thing i think is wrong with how they made him watch these is watching rogue one and solo BEFORE the OT on A FIRST VIEWING. strict timeline order is TERRIBLE for first time viewers, the "modern" viewing order (for people who know the reveals already) is release order but the prequels are at the start, so like this 1-3, 4-6, 7, RO, 8, S, 9. or having the two "a star wars story" movies before or after the sequels. S and RO are horrible introductions to the characters that appear in episode 4, and throw off balance the nice flow of following anakin/vader's arc (tbh rogue one is great but shouldn't be canon because of how the ending doesn't line up with the start of EP4)

But both the prequel and sequel trilogies are rollercoaster rides in terms of quality, so it's really a matter of picking your poison between a trilogy that starts out as nearly unwatchable garbage before slowly rising to becoming kinda ok by the end (the prequel trilogy), or a trilogy that starts out a bit average and derivative, then temporarily gets really good in the middle, before setting itself on fire in the last film (the sequel trilogy).

My introduction to the Star Wars Franchise was one Jar Jar Bink in it. I was thrown off by the visuals and never watched it again. But I did watch The Force Awakens back in 2015 and remember liking it. 🤷🏽
