Mingi was sadly on hiatus for psychological anxiety at the time. We missed him like crazy but I can't imagine how stressful Kingdom would have been for him when he was already struggling.

If you were an Atiny before or during Kingdom, you would know that's the most stressful time in Ateez and Atiny world. We were all having a mental breakdown. Mnet treated them like cr@p, fandoms (one in particular) was so toxic, and Ateez was without Mingi, 4 members were filming Imitation at the same time, and promotion for Fireworks was happening. We got through it and we came out bigger and better. In my humble opinion, Ateez deserved to win that. And at that time, I was looking into all groups with fresh eyes. That was my first dive into kpop and just discovered Ateez then. Anyway, that's the past. Ateez grew and learned a lot from that experience. And now they're on a league of their own. You can't even compare them with any other 4th gen groups.

exactly, it's so interesting seeing people experience kingdom after the fact cause as an atiny who experienced it, I do not have happy memories of this time, it caused so much stress and anxiety. I absolutely LOVE ateez's kingdom performances but it was actual hell.

l know Ateez because of kingdom,as u said lm.glad that l became atiny 'after' that,l can't imagine if l were already atiny at that time l would so stressful and sad,even l wasn't their fans l also noticed mnet treated them so bad at that moment,especially the screen time and those freaking plastic chairs,every group have sofa except them,and l read many comments from 'that' Fandom to attack mingi, made jokes about his mental health and ask him to finish his xxxx,that's made me sick,and also accused Ateez used more budget of the stage than others groups,however their group have same budget for the stage,that's why hongjoong said that they can't watch kingdom again because of those bad memories,but our boys getting stronger and stronger every time.

The whole show is so wholesome watching the groups interact eith each other and just be kind and encouraging, especially watching the younger groups just fanboy over their idols. 😊

The only thing I didn't like about Kingdom was the fact that it was a competition, because all six groups were SO amazing and put on so many cool stages that they've never done before, and watching them react to each other was so wholesome and sweet! Each week someone had to be the "low" score, which was sad because everyone did so good!

I started watching Kingdom as a Stay, and finished it as a Staytiny. Ateez wanting to show people what they could do on this show definitely worked on me. I also loved seeing the interactions between the groups, the banter and reactions, but it ups a level when they collaborate one week.

If you’re curious how they prepared for Kingdom, you can find behinds on their official channel. At that time they were during the fireworks promotions and also some of them were shhooting Kdrama, they had no time to sleep…

They had a comeback and promotions for fever pt2, seonghwa, jongho, yunho and san were actors for a kdrama called imitation and kingdom happening all at the same time. I remember it was a very stressful time for ateez and atiny, also mingi was 3-4 months on hiatus at the time for his anxiety and didnt come back until july of that year Fun fact: wooyoung is good friends with changbin of stray kids and yeonjun of txt, they call eachother honey

I didn’t notice this the first time I watched Kingdom (since I only knew Ateez at the time and they were obviously singing live) but a lot of the groups were not singing live in this show. It was a little disappointing because it was a competition show. The performances were all really great, but I wish there was a rule that every performance had to be live (other than the dance group performance because that one was purposefully not live). I may be the only one who feels this way though.

I'm not sure if you watched all of it yet but Kingdom was a difficult time for ateez and atiny. Mingi was on hiatus for anxiety so they were already down a member. During this time, they had a LOT of schedules all the time and I mean A LOT. They didn't sleep for some days and I'm not even lying. They had a comeback, music show performances, filming for a kdrama (Yunho, San, Seonghwa and Jongho), TV appearances, photos and behind the scenes filming as well as practicing for kingdom. They released behinds of practicing for kingdom which I thought were a very interesting watch so I definitely recommend you watch those after the episodes. Some of it is a little hard to watch because you can see just how exhausted and run down they are. They talk about not sleeping and having to decide between eating or taking a nap sometimes. I believe they even had to eat in the car on the way to schedules sometimes. The creators of Kingdom also didn't treat ateez particularly fairly because they aren't from a big company so they got worse resources (size of waiting rooms etc) and screen time. They also got a lot of really vicious hate from the fans of some of the other groups. I'm just glad that they made some friends and got to learn some new skills whilst showing off their talent to the general public more. I believe the filming hours for kingdom alone were wild. I can't remember exactly but Peniel from BTOB mentioned it in a podcast. It was something like 16hours of filming a day so they had to just be in the waiting rooms for a long time.

It was kinda bitter sweet period for ATEEZ cuz their schedules are packed and they can't even sleep, and a lot of things happened during that time 😅 But it was a precious memories as well. Mingi was on hiatus due to the anxiety for 8-9 months, that's why we won't see him in a lot of ATEEZ contents during their Fireworks era

In the reactions to the "Kingdom" work, for some reason many people skip over "Rhythm Ta." Is it because it's a work that swapped songs with i-kon, and it's hard to say which is better, or is it just hard to rate it? It's a wonderful piece, so I'd love to hear your comments, and if possible, I'd like you to compare it with the original, even if it's just a partial comparison.

Yay. I would watch this on Patreon, but after buying the Ateez tickets and getting ready to buy Stray Kids next week, there’s not much I can afford! Are you planning on seeing them, too? I loved this season. The only bit I didn’t like and made me uncomfortable was that only half the groups got an updated and increased budget, the other half weren’t told or given the extra money due to an error…

Even though Kingdom gave us a lot of legendary performances and interactions between groups that already knew each other (like Stray Kids and The Boyz) and groups that started friendships there, this program was really cruel to all the participants, specially Ateez that were treated like shit and were promoting an album at the same time (Fireworks era) Hyunjin (skz) and Mingi (Ateez) were in hiatus at that time, BTOB and iKon had people on the military and SF9 had one injuried member. So, the only complete group there was The Boyz Hope you can enjoy the performances of all the groups btw, they really put effort on this program
