I know how to tell military time because of my ethnic background because that is how they tell time. 15:30 is 3:30 p.m., 16:45 is 4:45 p.m. and 18:20 is 6:20 p.m. As for the other question, I am 32 and would not listen to my 20-year-old self on certain things.

I mean it’s not like she had a choice; she wasn’t sent to military school cause she was a bad kid or wanted to. She was forced to move and then forced to give up her entire personality ? I would’ve homeschooled her before I sent her to that school against her will

That always bothered me about this movie, and I felt for Kelly. I moved around a lot growing up, and it's hard. My parents were not in the military. We just moved a lot because of my dad's job. Not only moving but also being sent to a military school without talking about it with her parents first? If she were my kid, I would've asked her opinion, at least.

You should watch Anastasia! It's an animated movie from 1997. #bingers The song that you hear in the beginning of the movie is called "One Girl Revolution" by Superchick. The reason why the lyrics say "Confidence in insecurity" is because the song talks about wearing a disguise: People see you as shy and softspoken and keeping to yourself, but inside you feel powerful and confident! The dirty hot dogs are definitely a thing in New York, and New York/New Jersey is known for their pizza!! :) Thank you for your service in the Army! My brother-in-law was Army and my husband was a Marine! I know military time!! 15:30 would be 3:30 PM! 16:45 would be 4:45 PM! 18:20 would be 6:20 PM! Between 17 and 22 I feel like I learned the most about what it really means to show up for yourself and be an adult. It's more difficult than you think and I've mostly learned my lessons the hard way. Trust your gut, surround yourself with people who love you and you can trust. Find a support system and contact them when you need someone. If you feel like you're bothering them, you're not, they want to help. If you can, work somewhere you enjoy to be. If you can't, be proud of your hard work and hype your coworkers up. Try to stay positive in all situations. And DRINK your water. 💚
@nicanproud
@nicanproud 2 жыл бұрын
As a 26 year old, I learned tons betwen 17 and 22. But there's so much growth that comes in your twenties and into your 30s. I can't wait until I'm 30. I don't say this to say you're wrong or discredit your comment. I had no idea who I has at 22. So I don't want any anxious mofos like me seeing that time frame and being scared. Take the time you need to show up for yourself, but do your best to do a little bit every day until it becomes a habit. Honesty and bravery is a hell of a drug, and the best kind. Once you start, its hard to stop.

At the same time, still a nostalgic moment in its own right. in any case you know what I'll be repping for #Bingers - Drop Dead Gorgeous and Atlantis: The Lost Empire

I was 7 when Cadet Kelly came out and I vaguely remember watching it as a kid. I misremembered the big drama with her dad at the end. I also attended a DoD elementary school (naval academy primary school) since my mom was a civilian employee with the USNA and her boss' boss (a captain) offered to help get me into the DoD elementary school. A lot of things back then felt very patriotic and pro-military back in the early 2000s (i.e., because of 9/11 when I was 6 years old). I grew up watching MASH, JAG, and NCIS. In high school, I wanted to be a civilian intelligence analyst working at the agency in Langley. In senior year high school, I interned at Ft Meade as a secret squirrel, but then was stupid and left to go to a private college in Washington DC thinking the prestige would be better when in reality I should have staid at Ft Meade and gone to school at a local college..... but that's that and in past few years since I graduated college with my BA International Relations, I tried going to grad school to be a therapist (wasn't for me), and now I'm doing another career switch again and just started working as an IT contractor.

So many girls at my high school joined JROTC because of this movie, but mainly cuz they wanted to go to the military prom. Always saw them running miles around campus 😅

Given that the 16 year old version of myself broke my collar bone because I went hiking in Converse high tops and fell down a hill, no I would not listen to 16 year old me

I used to watch this movie ALL THE DAMN TIME!! I'd reenact that first barracks scene by myself and my brother who was sleeping in the other room would tell me to shut up. 😂 I used to quote this movie all the time and practically knew it by heart. Sooo many memories, and so weird to not have seen it in ages but still remember her mannerisms and all that. Those were the days.

I only know military time because they use it in nursing, so 1530 is 3:30, 1645 is 4:45, and 1820 is 6:20

This movie lmao...it isn't one of my rewatches for a DCOM but I loved your commentary for it. What I do like to watch again and again are DCOMs like #Bingers: Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-off, The Thirteenth Year, and Gotta Kick It Up #Bingers: Underworld, Blade, A Werewolf Boy

Billy my boy. Newyork pizza is a war zone. I know people who prefer a vinegar Tomato stance and others want sugar in the sauce and don’t even get me started in correct rations and the crusts. So if you be going out to NYC and you decide to swing by Niagara Falls my buffalo ass would find you the best local pizza and wings . Always order them crispy .

Haha, is it weird my favorite part of the episode was the ad? I'm a director on Star Trek: Lower Decks and it's fun to see my life on your channel!
