Fairy Devilmother: Lucinda not only "blesses" Ella with the *"gift of obedience",* but when Ella pleads and begs for her to remove the *"gift",* Lucinda is offended and refuses: declaring arrogantly *"everybody loves my gifts."* She not only shows no interest in why Ella would want it removed, but while Ella chained herself to a tree to try and avoid obeying Edgar's order to kill Char, Lucinda frees her and orders her to go to the ball. *This is in contrast to her original novel counterpart,* who designs her gifts to help children develop into proper adults; only to realize the error of her ways when she experiences her gifts first-hand.
@ashante1903 жыл бұрын
I don't think it was as simple as her saying the words "I will not obey" because we see in the early year montage that she was defiant with her mother and yet that didn't help. I think it was more so finding inner strength to fight out the curse. Connects to the mother saying on her deathbed 'what's inside you is stronger than any spell"
@valentinaromo63993 жыл бұрын
It was actually her ordering herself in the mirror. She didn't know what else to do and when she looked into the mirror she remembered all the suffering her curse had brought her, and like you said, summoned every bit of inner strength she had to look at her own reflection and say, "You will not obey." playing in the rules of the curse to break it. Literally anyone could have broken it for her if they had tried, but in the end she could only free herself.

In the book, Ella actually tried to make herself obey her own orders, but it didn't work. She had to creatively find loopholes in her curse. Here's how she broke the curse: Prince Char asks her to marry him, and even the stepfamily urges her to say yes so they could get royal status. As much as Ella wants to, she. fights with everything in her to not say yes like she's ordered to, because she knows she'll be a tool for his enemies. It almost destroys her to not obey, and finally after a good long while she shouts, "NO" breaking the curse, and yells at the stepfamily refusing to obey further orders from them. Ultimately she says yes.

Whitney Houston was one of the directors or producers (can’t remember) she probably helped with the music

this is one of my favourite reactions based on the level of hype, because same, but also because i had the same thought as billy did about the whole "karaoke in my brain" thing 😂

Idk what made Billy upset about this movie(that's a lie), but if he's gonna be hating on the Hathaways, we're gonna have some words. Annie Hathaways is my sh*t #bingers Matilda!!!! Watch it!!! WAATCHH IIITTT!!!

I just love how Billy truly gets invested in those movies!!! Fortunately I've seen most of the movies he watched, I've already seen but the ones I hadn't seen I can't watch yet because I miss the whole movie 😅

Morning, Billy. I saw your reaction to Titanic and that was great. I have not seen 'Enchanted', but I have to say I totally respect you for being comfortable/secure enough as a man to show yourself reacting to this movie, which seems like it would be considered a 'princess's movie or a chick flick. I watch all kinds of movies too. Great job, brotha!

she had to look at herself in the mirror to command herself to no longer be obedient. Not just saying it did it but looking at herself saying it is what did the trick!

Sir Edgar donning the poisoned crown was no mistake. It was suicide. He had just confessed to first degree regicide. Even in modern day, such a crime would be a death sentence and he'd rather go down his own way.

Honestly its cheesy but that's what I love about it haha I watched it a lot when I was going through a tough time so it became one of my comfort movies, I know the lines by heart. Edit: Also #Bingers Edward Scissorhands, Crimson Peak and Sleepy Hollow you might've seen them already I'm not sure but I really love these movies haha
