I feel in the first film, they wanted to just be at equals with the humans and Zed constantly tried fitting in, hence being on the football team. With the second film, Addison and Zed did this work to get zombies to be on the same level and with the anti-monster laws, they are ok with outing zombies, but the werewolves can come in and just get everything the zombies are still fighting for. They are in school now, but are still outcasts. I would feel jealous of the werewolves if they got everything easily if I had to fight for my place in the world. So Zed telling the werewolves to fit in like the zombies felt like that was the only way they can get respect because that is what the zombies constantly had to do.

11:14 Cheetah Girls, HSM, and Camp Rock worked bc they worked it being a musical into the plot. Cheetah Girls was about a group of girls wanting to be singers, it made sense that they sang everywhere. HSM was about teenagers wanting to break out of their assigned roles to follow their new passion of musical theater, so it made sense that they sang everywhere. Camp Rock was about kids going to a music camp, so it made sense that they sang everywhere. Descendants and Zombies make a little less sense. Descendants you can argue for bc most of their parents’ movies were musicals, but for Zombies them singing everywhere makes 0 sense and doesn’t really move the plot along lol
