Honestly, I adore the light novels for Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs. The main character has a really cynical personality, and I do think that the world that this takes place in has a lot more detail and stuff going on than your typical isekai show. I really hope they adapt it well, if they do I think a lot of people will enjoy it.

As someone who has cought up to the shield hero manga, yes the time after where season 1 left off is missing a hook, but they are building up to something bigger like the mystery behind the world and the waves. Still very enjoyable, so give it a watch

For me the whole thing was ruined by Motoyasu and his big mouth. People said it would be cathartic to see him get his comeuppance, but I skipped ahead and only felt... tired. I'd just be like "ok, that's one series most people like that I don't, big deal I can move on" but these darn authors keep trying to copy the same archtypes, which would be fine if they were entertaining to watch either in the love to root for, love to hate, or love to laugh at kind. Instead I start seeing clones of that ass like Natsume and Daisuke. Well, at least for me in the future if I see one of those in the show, I know to not waste my time with the source material and hope I'll enjoy it more, since I won't.

World building gets better especially with exploring the reasons behind the waves and the other world heroes which was my favorite part (books 8-10), but then it kind of goes into more village building for a bit (correct me if I’m wrong since it’s been a year since I’ve read the spirit tortoise arc and the arc that came after it).

I believe those are the remaining story arcs. Empire Invasion Arc is probably the longest bit if I remember correctly. The anime will probably speed run the slave village arc if not just outright skip it. Breaking of the Heroes arc will probably get a few episodes but I have feeling we will get through the Mercenary City Arc and get to the cusp of the Empire Invasion Arc in 12 episodes. (I might be missing an arc or two, but the Empire Invasion is pretty long so meh)

What makes Shield Hero a must watch for me is Kinema Citrus. Completely agree that Shield Hero lost their hook, but that studio did a really good job producing the first season. Also, their episode in Starwars: Visions, was one of my favourites. The source material might not be stellar, but I'm pretty sure the studio will still make it enjoyable to watch.

They're doing base building this time, and for me, there is no better hook. Idk, but I'm just a sucker for that. Hence why Tensura is my favorite LN. There's just something so satisfying and cathartic about it. Build that fucking army! And yea, with Myne and the king, that was too soft. At least tattoo the new names on their faces or something. I'd definitely keep an eye on Koi wa Sekai Seifuku no Ato de (I think it's "Love after World Domination"). The manga works really well with wholesome romance and hilarious comedy. Edit: Portmanteau is when you glue two words together. To quote from mossbag as an example: "Metroidvania is a portmanteau of Metroid and Castlevania, which are portmanteaus of Meteorite and Asteroid; and Castle and Transylvania, respectively"

The one about separated at birth reminds me of Marmalade Boy. The weirdest concept where two couples swapped partners. Female protag's dad married male protag's mom, while male protag's dad married female protag's mom, and they're all living together, with two kids being the main couple.

Funnily enough I actually started reading the manga for the switched at birth series a couple days ago, only afterwards realizing it was getting an anime. It's your basic school life harem romcom, complete with main character obsessed with studying, just like We Never Learn and Quintuplets, except without any of the likable characters of the latter and the actually shockingly fantastic ending of the former. (in the manga, at least) The only thing that really stands out about it to me is the fact that the MC is actually able to confess to the girl he likes early on, instead of dragging it out for over a hundred chapters. I've checked in to Kingdom a lot and have outright tried to watch it a few times but the immediate horrible CGI the show is animated with turns me off enough to shut it off every time. Is it worth pushing through that? I really wish CGI was either never used in anime animation or at least was only used when it wasn't clearly obvious that it's CGI, to the point of being immersion breaking (looking at shows like you modern Berserk adaptation).

Anyway long story short this arrangement is to make sure that all the money is always concentrated in capital which makes sure lords of outskirt areas don't rebel cuz they will be too broke to even rebel & this arrangement has another purpose which is to pick out bad apple from central noble & later remove all the nobles& lords from equation and form an absolute centralized government but I feel like this arrangement too cruel & is only good for royal family & lords are humiliated & exploited and later even their land is taken from them. End of short answer Ok before that let me clarify some things The whole world is a fairy tail like place where the only land not covered by ocean is present in the sky which is occupied by new Human, there are also elfs but let's leave that part, now as land is very scare that's why if you discover new land then you are given baronet rank or if that land flourishes then baron rank. Let's call them lords, now all the Lords operate their own floating islands so obviously they have their own forces & lords are just commoners who rose to nobility. & then there are true nobles who have court ranks in capital. A country basically has a capital which is occupied by king & court rank nobles( different from lords). Now keep these things in mind. Now, this world is full of wars so man are less compared to women & this is actually a big problem specially for nobles & even bigger problem for lower court rank nobles cuz it's hard to marry into a higher court rank noble family & they don't want to marry their daughter into Lord noble cuz they are from outskirts/rural areas & they are not even true nobles. So kingdom decided to do something ridiculous. As every noble child be it court noble or Lord noble has to attend capital academy they decided to treat every boy from Lord house hold as 2nd rate. This treatment kept on getting worse & by the time protagonist joins academy boys are treated worse than slave( in literal sense). All the money boys earned are spent on buying sweets for tea party organised for girls or to be used by girls just as purse not to mention if they don't do these then their reputation falls and....... Uff too long I give up.

Tbh Shield Hero was dope, the only thing i hated about it was the revenge subplot. The world building was so beautiful and gamey, something a lot of Isekai fail to do. He had to grind and level, and we saw that it wasn't easy, unlike in most other isekai where it's "Oh, he needs to do this to be overpowered, oh, he just did it it took him 10min offscreen to do it gg".

Funny thing about the Skeleton Isekai, it actually is pretty chill and wholesome, that was just the inciting incident I believe, it doesn’t go anywhere near that graphic later on. Just an FYI regarding Ao Ashi. Being a long-time manga reader, I can assure you that this show has incredible character development and similar to series' like Slam Dunk & other Football manga, like the upcoming Blue Lock, has each character with their own unique niche. I do hope the anime serves the manga justice and takes it slowly.
