Master Chief vs average Space marine has been done to death, but simply put The Chief's got a 15-8% chance against a normal average everyday space marine. A bolter (there main weapon) shoots slightly smaller than red bull cans Full auto, and they are micro explosive missiles that detonate on, or in the target.

A bolter round is about the size of a 12 gauge shotgun shell, bolters are essentially full auto, 12 gauge shotguns with rocket assisted rounds, there was a similar weapon project even in real life, but it was canceled due to the rounds being too expensive to be efficient

What I find really funny about the Sisters of Battle is that they exist entirely because of a legal loophole the church exploited to maintain a private army. Here’s the story: at one point, an Ecclesiarch (basically the Pope of the Imperium) took control of the Imperium as a dictator. He amassed a massive army but eventually went insane, prompting the rest of the Imperium to team up and overthrow him. Afterward, a law was passed forbidding the church from "arming men," effectively banning them from having an army. The church’s responded by giving the guns to women. PS the OG of sisters of battle were the bodyguards/harem of the Ecclesiarch/pope.

Man, you could buy an army, determine a custom color scheme, and then there are companies that professionally paint them for you. Would be amazing for a display piece. BUT, as someone who has enjoyed the hobby since like '93, I would HIGHLY suggest you snag a model (the fantasy ones they are kicking out now ROCK!) and paint one yourself. You may hate it, but there are a lot of people who model and never play. Great reaction and cheers!

To let you know about the salamanders chapter. Space marines have an augmentation that allows them to change the (improved)melanin content in their skin to provide protection against radiation or absorb more sunlight for body chemistry. The salamanders gene seed malfunctioned and is permanently set to max melanin leading to their extremely dark skin, their home planet has a wide spectrum of human phenotypes Asian, Eurasian, African and Slavic among them but all end up with the dark skin. So their facial features (modified to various degrees by the geneseed to resemble Vulcan) are of those types but with dark skin.

Okey E.D as a warhammer fan with a few years of experience im here to give you a few tips on what to watch if you want to know more about the lore. Of course if you want to... First off: -i recommend that you finished part 2 of this video -then watch bricky's video of all space marines legions. For some clarifications...legions are like the general groups of space marines that gwt divided into chapters. Each primarch has its own legion of sons...this then got divided into chapters that basically are subfactions of this... For example...the blood angels are the name of the legion but they got divided into chapters like: the blood angels chapter, the flesh tearers, lamenters and other sort of group. Basically they got divided in groups and grew their own new identity but esentially they come from the legions (minus the traitors) Now, once youve finished bricky i can recommend you a few channels of lore if you want to go deep into it. First off is the main guy of lore if you want to go deep in details and stuff is luetin09. If you want to know full lore luetin is the man who will give you all the details and stuff...his videos are kind of big but if you want all the info you go to him. Secon recommendation is adeptus ridiculous. If you like bricky and you want a well inform video with comedy...this podcast is for you. Bricky made his own podcast of warhammer lore where he explains his friend DK who is new to the universe all the stufff there is...from factions, obscure chapters of spacemarines, to stories, characters, the gods, the world everything. Its not as deep in lore as luetin but if you like his humour and want to watch 40-60 minutes videou this are your guys. Also they make collabs with luetin and recently moistcritikal who is new in the lore. Also they make bookclubs where they talk about different books and that sort of stuff. Then wesshammer who is also a good one....hes pretty good with lore, not as funny was bricky and not as detailed but decent. Then comes majorkill...now majorkill i aint a big fan of...his videos are not to deep in detail, being only 10-20 minutes and the humour he usses is not my coup of tea. He has a very edgelord kind of humour and doesnt go to much into lore. I wouldnt recommend him but its your choice. Once youre done with bricky videos i can recommend you a few series to watch if you like

23:47 It would take an entire squad of Spartans to even have a chance at taking down a space marine, and even then it's a pretty slim chance. They really don't even have a way to wound a space marine with just regular small arms and hand to hand combat. If you played Halo Wars 2 and saw what Atriox did to Red Team, that's about what would happen if they faced a single Astartes. Also, that's assuming they're facing the regular, basic bitch Astartes. If they went up against a named marine like Sigismund or Titus, it would probably take multiple spartan squads.

it depends what weapontry they have. if they have spartan lazers they have a chance. anything less than that will do nothing. even the rockets would probably bounce off. plasma weapons would probably injure space marines but the projectiles move slow compared to bullets. (not to mention a spartan only has a measly 10-20 years of training/experience. there unamed space marines who have been fighting unbelievable odds for 300-1000 years. in reality a single squad of astartes could probbbbbably defeat the covenent (assuming that taking out all the prophets makes them stop)

You’re grossly overestimating Space Marines. They have better weapons, sure, but Spartan II augmentation are arguably better than Astartes and Ceramite Power Armor wishes it could be half as good as Mjolnir. Mjolnir Armor can survive Terminal Velocity impact, Ceramite would fold like a piece of paper without a gravchute

@ and what do you think plasma does to Ceramite Plate? Goes through like butter, plasma is the go-to AP weaponry in BOTH settings. Yeah, Plasma punches through Mjolnir, but that’s why the Energy Shields exist. Space Marines don’t get personal energy shields unless they’re extremely high ranked. And no, Astartes don’t punch harder than a terminal velocity fall. There’s no evidence to support they have that kind of strength. The fact of the matter is, Mjolnir can survive terminal velocity, Ceramite Plate can’t.

So when you are near them, you suddenly perceive what it is like to be soulless and your brain just rejects it and REALLY freaks you out. 1:06:36 - Fidus Kryptman is an Inquisitor that committed Exterminatus on a number of worlds in order to slow down the advance of a Tyranid Hive-Fleet (more info on them in Bricky's second faction video). It didn't work, obviously, so the Imperium got kinda pissed off that he had razed a number of planets for nothing.

26:09 The colour thing is a bit odd with Space Marines, because they get a special organ that makes their pigment shift to protect them from whatever radiation they're currently getting wherever they are (makes sense in space, right?). So although the vidya never really shows it, if Titus from Space Marine 1/2 goes to some planet with fuck-awful high UV or whatever, he'll have full-on dark brown African-looking skin in a few months. It's strong enough that it can actually resist some forms of serious radiation poisoning, given time to adapt. A Space Marine could probably live right next to Chernobyl with no trouble. The Salamanders are a special case. They have a mutation in that particular organ which means they ALL have super-dark ash-black skin as soon as the implants settle in, no matter how they looked to start with, along with those red eyes. It's used to great effect in the lore, because a lot of the random civilians they encounter think they're monsters or demons due to the way they look, when in fact the entire Salamanders genetic line are probably the kindest and most humanistic Space Marines in the setting.

48:48 Knights are oddly enough, one of the cheapest armies. To build up an army worth about 2k points, most armies need a ton of minifigures. Each Imperial knight however has point values in the hundreds so you don’t need that many at all for a full army.

Spartans have arguably better augmentations if we are talking strictly combat, while Astartes have some very good utility augmentations. Pound for pound a Spartan puts any Space Marine in the dirt and it’s not even close. Spartans are also faster. Mjolnir armor steals the average Astartes power armor’s lunch money every day of the week. As with everything UNSC, the big thing Marines have over Spartans is firepower. Give a Spartan II a box of Krak Grenades and they’ll kill at least 2-3 Marines before going down.

Since you are already familiar with Total War 3, I can’t recommend enough Pancreasnowork’s Every Warhammer Fantasy Faction explained video, it’s super fun and thorough in its explanations, the only ones that are lacking a bit, mainly because the video was made with an audience that was already familiar with 40k in mind, are the Chaos factions and Orks, other than that, absolute banger and will definitely make you appreciate all the factions in Total War even more.

The hammer that was so dope has a salamander head around the actual head. Idk if it's a real salamander head, but i wouldn't doubt it. I'd have to read up on it. But it's one of the most powerful single melee weapons in the 40k universe. The dude holding it, Vulkan, is a primarch. Arguably one of, if not the strongest primarchs. And hes an eternal, so he cannot die. Also the biggest. Urdrakule (his hammer) can light on fire on command and can return to him like Thor's. Its also like 9 feet long and super fucking heavy. He used it to break one of the other primarchs hands, who everyone thought previously were literally unbreakable because of the metal they were made out of.

Ok, Cost of The Hobby; When people talk about cost, especially when it comes to Warhammer 40K, they're not necessarily talking about the value in dollars per model. What bricky meant by the Imperial guard costing so much to collect, is because you have to buy multiple sets of units because they are so cheap to field. I know this concept is going to go a little bit wide but when it comes to playing the game and collecting the hobby, keep the two of them separate. If I'm collecting the miniatures just because I think they look cool and I like the way to paint them and I want to do it that way. Okay, that is the majority of the hobby and it is widely recognized as being an integral part. The playing of Warhammer 40K on the tabletop the actual game itself that relates more to if you have enough models to do so. Each model is broken down into a point value. Those point values are then equaled up to the size of the battle that you and your opponent/ victim are looking to do. If I wanted to field 500 points of an army, on Astra, militarium Army might still contain 30 models, whereas a gray night Army might only contain 10. So an astro militarium Army would cost more to collect because you need to buy more models. You need to buy more paint. You need to spend more time building, constructing and painting your Army. Cost is not just dollars. Over the decade that I've been playing, I've collected over 10,000 points of my primary Army, necrons, and several thousand points of other armies. That being said, it took me a decade to collect that paint it and field it. If playing the game is what you want then you can do what is known as poorhammer. It's where I started. It's where a lot of people started. On my floor with popsicle sticks painted to to differentiate the squads. Toilet paper rolls and shoe boxes for terrain. But if you're looking to collect the models then apply the "Rule of cool" find one that you think looks awesome. Start there!. Find a faction that you think looks awesome start there. The only way somebody is going to get into the Hobby and into playing both at the same time is if their last name is Musk. And even then it would be considered expensive by my tastes.
