I guess since his time to dish out his revenge is so close, it's all he cares about. Hence why he just added "revenge" to when he was gonna say "guac."

If we’re continuing with Shadows story in say a separate TV series so they can let 4 be a Sonic and Amy story without Shadow taking over until maybe Sonic 5. Id have Stone be picked up by GUN after Robotniks sacrifice - him choosing in the same fashion as Robotnik to do good vs just evil. Well he’ll be assigned to one of guns Black Ops units sent to hunt down and pick up Shadow after he crashed back to earth. Alongside him would also be another fun character to introduce and one that is also extremely relevant to Shadow’s story. Rouge. You can have this pair for a couple episodes as we see a solo Shadow hunting down his inhibitors and coming to his senses again and dealing with just his own head. However, we get the trio uniting at the place of the old GUN facility here again and instead of taking him back to GUN, Stone and Rouge instead choose to help Shadow uncover more of his origins and past by delving into Geralts side projects and experiments and life. This would be a good way to give backstory to shadows origins - including Black Doom and Jeralts deal with him. Can even include Maria suffering from a terminal illness that just wasn’t brought up because it was an irrelevant factor to Sonic 3 but can easily be explained in this series. And it means you can even have the giant bio-lizard come in as a season final boss battle with Shadow taking it down alongside Rouge and Stone but also being quite sentimental and remorseful for it’s conditions and abandonment and the fact that it like he was created to help Maria but overall failed in such. ^ BIG TWIST SUGGESTION ^ As most sonic fans known Shadow has a 3rd companion of his little group. Omega. Well it would be quite hard to slot Omega in with all his usual hatred of Ivo for his creation and companions loss as we don’t really have that in this cinematic universe. However… we do have a human character… who knows robotniks tech and could have made a “special” model as a side project to show off to Robotnik made for his favourite drone Omega. But during this final fight this certain human is mortally wounded, and having bonded with Shadow over the loss of their only friends (could even hint more with Stone) a certain dark hedgehog could use his chaos powers to not save his life but atleast do what he can to save and transfer it over to this new Omega bot. And here you can introduce Omega alongside a heart punching moment with Stone. It gives big reason to why Rouge and Shadow share a strong friendship and bond with Omega outside of just common goals. It gives Omega a reason to exist in this universe. And it gives a reason for Omega to hate Robotnik, as he doesn’t hate Ivo Robotnik but instead Jeralt who none of the trio truly knows is dead - as only really team Sonic and Ivo knew of his death before the destruction of the Ray in 3.

Idk if this happened for anyone else, but when I was in the theater for Sonic 3 (Opening day ofc), right before the movie started, Jeff Fowler, James Mardsen (Tom's Actor), and Tika Sumpter (Maddie's Actor) gave a small message to everyone for coming to see the movie. They exclaimed that they are genuinely grateful that people love these movies and how they work on them, and exclaim that they couldn't have done all of this without the fans. That really spoke to me honestly. These films are in really good hands because this proves that they actually care a lot about this franchise and the people who come to watch them. They never did HAVE to make that opening message, but they WANTED to. And I genuinely love that so much EDIT: It may have been Ben Schwartz (Sonic's VA) and not Jeff Fowler, sorry for the misinformation everyone! That moment was kinda overshadowed by all the hype I had for the movie lmao

From what i saw from Jeff Fowler he confirmed that Shadow would return but how is was left up in the air. Some are saying he'll get his own or his return will tie in to the next season of the Knuckles which has been also confirmed. We'll need to wait and see what happens.

@@azaangeorge9552 The biggest issue for me that the whole point of Prime was to show why Sonic shouldn't just headfirst into fights and actually work alongside his friends. Literally the first two seasons were showing the consequences of actions and how he couldn't just try to fix it the way he normally does. His actions doomed his own world as well the many worlds he visits, but by the end of the series all of the chaos was undone by not even Sonic himself and literally learned nothing from his adventure. He just goes back to doing what he did before the Paradox Prism shattered. It just completely undermines everything in the first two seasons despite them being great.

An argument I have for Eggman‘s portrayal in the first Sonic Movie is that there are actually a fair amount of moments where he’s genuinely intimidating. Such as him threatening Tom at his house and talking about his bully story for example. These kinds of moments are absent in the sequels which is a shame.

Something I really liked about Sonic 3 is that besides the fights with Shadow, knuckles is still allowed to be cool. I was really worried that with the inclusion of Shadow they would make knuckles be all useless because they have a shiny new toy. But not only does knuckles save the day at least 3 times during the movie, as well as multiple chances to show how strong he is, the writers made the intelligent decision to never make base Sonic perform any better against base Shadow than Knuckles, therefore it never undermines Knuckles' role in the group as the heaviest hitter. It's amazing how Sonic 3 managed to allow ALL characters to shine, not just Sonic and Shadow

Sonic 1 (2020): Even though I'm not a fan of the cartoon character in the real world genre, the first Sonic movie is enjoyable to watch. Despite the plot being mediocre, the SFX is impressive, and Jim Carrey nails it as Robotnik. (7/10) Sonic 2 (2022): This sequel is what I would consider a major improvement. The plot is good even though it does have some cringe moments. The SFX are tens better, Knuckles is popular again, and the final battle is brilliant. (8/10) Knuckles (2024): What was once a highly anticipated series turned out to be nothing more than a total disappointment. The first episode was the only good thing from that series. The rest was a complete downgrade. (4/10) Sonic 3 (2024): Quite possibly the best and strongest of the series (so far). The effects and animation are impressive, the fights are epic, and Jim Carrey once again steals the show. Can't wait for Sonic 4. (8.5/10)

The comeback of this franchise needs to be studied. No hyperbole, for real. One good film and a decent game kickstarted a revival era of the franchise leading to hit games like Shadow Generation's and blockbusters such as Sonic 3. If I had to make any major criticisms, it's that Sonic's arc of needing to learn teamwork isn't really played out. Once he goes Super Sonic he doesn't even know knuckles and tails are on the station, so he's not really teaming with them there. A more minor gripe is have is seeing multiple Metal Sonic be so easily once shotted by Amy. It takes away any threat MS might have had for the next movie.

Tbh I think Mario would better benefit from a spin off tv series to help flesh out him and the various characters. I liked the movie, but it felt super rushed and on auto pilot. The sequel could very well course correct and give an actual meaningful story and also flesh out the characters but I pretty much doubt it especially if it introduces a bunch of new characters and whatnot. The Sonic movies have the advantage of being able to balance a lot. Mario only has 1 film and yet hasn’t really done anything special with the main characters. First impressions are everything and Mario could’ve very well blown its shot. They should’ve probably worked a little longer on movie 1 instead of focusing on making it just an amusement park ride. But I’m not saying the movie was bad and of course I’m not expecting a super complex narrative however Mario Bros 1 was very barebones. It wasn’t even a Bros movie as Luigi was sidelined the entire time and I don’t see them fixing that mistake in the sequel either. That’s why I think they would be better off making a tv series instead of movies that take 4 years to make and we’re not sure if they’ll deliver on course correcting the few problems with the first installment. But we’ll see. They could totally prove me wrong. As it stands I’m cautiously optimistic about a second film whereas I’m more confident in the Sonic movie franchise. Also sorry for the long rant. 😂😂😂😂

the wedding scene in Sonic 2 for me the first time was like a roller coaster of getting hype about GUN being introduced to the world of the movies, then confused that the scene was still going, then boredom because it was *still* going, then finding it unironically hilarious because it was *still* going (and also that shot of Rachel drifting the golf cart and stepping out in slow motion as it explodes was hilarious and hype, fucking fight me), to laughing even harder when basically the scene finally ends with the ending of a completely different movie.

I think you said mostly everything I feel towards these Sonic movies. We started off rocky and there were some bumps in the road (story of Sonic's life) but 3 stuck a monumentally awesome landing. I think (for what the Sonic movies are) it's a fantastic example of what a video game movie adaptation should strive to be. Faithful and respectful but still engaging while also making it work in a movie's context. I'm genuinely impressed with how shockingly open to feedback the team is there (it feels like any big complaints about a movie get addressed in the next) and the CGI is fantastic and I do not know how it keeps getting better. While I have some reservations for what Sonic 4 might do considering 3's ending and how many of these they plan on making, I'm also fully basking in the seretonin I get from Sonic being considered the best at something. It feels so good to be optimistic about this series and I thank the first movie (even with the problems before and after it came out) partially for that.

Cartoonshi, I have to disagree with you about Jim as Robotnik, at least for the first one. As time has gone on with each movie he is definitely less Eggman and more Jim Carey. In that first movie he may be a touch more wacky than normal but Jim’s got it down. “How can you threaten someone who never existed” while pointed guns at Tom! Come on. And that little mini breakdown he had when Sonic escaped after the car chase was perfect, his ego can’t take being beaten. He’s got it in that one!

i know that the first sonic movie is the weakest one. but i don't think it's bad. i kinda like the live action hybrid style they went with, it's like trying to imagine interacting with sonic in real life. plus the alien bit made sense, cause he isn't JUST a hedgehog. but still, this was the first sonic movie i watched, it was a movie that got me into the sonic lore, and even if it takes it slow, it was just so that the sequels could hit as hard as they did. if they crammed the introduction knuckles and tails into the first movie while introducing sonic and robotnik, it wouldn't have had the same impact. i still think the first sonic movie deserves at least some credit for starting something awesome.

If you ask me, I think they took the direction they did with the first movie because they gradually wanted to ease people unfamiliar with a lot of Sonic lore into this film universe, like it'd be harder to start with a lot of it out of the gate, it could potentially alienate the average movie go-er. I'd compare it to something like Spider-Man Homecoming in a sense where it wanted to hold off on the heavier things before getting to them later down the line. I respect that choice personally.

I agree with many points you’ve made in this video, but I’d like to add my thoughts. The first Sonic movie had a lot to prove. While it might not be perfect as a Sonic movie, it wasn’t a bad film at all. I was just happy we got a solid movie, especially given its chaotic development. While I’d prefer a Sonic movie to be fully animated, I’m satisfied with how it turned out. With the second and third movies being massive improvements, I think it’s safe to say the first film succeeded in its goal of being an enjoyable experience, and I’m proud of it for that.

I think it's a huge testament to how amazing Sonic 3 is that it took me from a passive fan that mostly knew Sonic through culture osmosis (after years of clowning on the franchise even), to an active fan drenching himself in the best this series as to offer; currently playing Sonic x Shadow Gens and with plans to play the Adventure titles, Project 06, and whatever else I can get my hands on I'm speaking without a shred of exaggeration that watching Sonic 3 in theaters gave me a a Danny Devito "Oh my God... I get it..." moment. I'm having a blast with Sonic Gens, am extremely excited to start Shadow's campaign, and I'm reaching the point where I'm genuinely starting to consider Shadow one of my favorite fictional characters (I don't wanna say anything concrete til I play Shadow Gens) I really loved Sonic 3 and I'm so happy for Sonic fans that it absolutely rips. I don't feel like I really have a right to be as celebratory over the film's success and series's greater redemption as long time fans, but damn yall congrats on the string of Ws I can only pray the Zelda movie is even half as good as Sonic 3
