People who are uber critical need to relax about Maxey's play should wait at least 10 gamess. He also helps if he could pass the ball to anyone else to play make. I think the problem with Maxey is that he looks out of control on most of his drives. He’s always full steam ahead and the refs probably think that he’s initiating the contact so they let it play on. Not saying it’s right but it’s what I’ve noticed.

He did a terrible job of running the floor but hes always been awful at running the floor without Embiid there. Hes simply a shooting guard. Time for us to get a real point guard in. Maxeys most efficient season of his career by far came in the 22-23 season and its the only season he was always playing at shooting guard with a high usage rate.

You’re reaching. The first 4 mins aren’t guaranteed foul calls for anyone. Maybe embiid or Brunson get the all on the pivoting turn around. Thats a maybe. Every single bit of contact isn’t called a foul usually do to it’s affect on the shot. They aren’t going to call minimal contact and I know you’re asking if another player would get the call. Maxey a few times you’re saying it’s a foul and Maxey is jumping into Lopez. Maxey wants more calls? He has to stop evading the contact from the defender, and with a few of those Lopez non calls, he’s jumping into Lopez and then trying to lay over him. He needs to get Lopez up first then take the shot. The forearm pushes , he needs to say it early and every time they lay the hand on him, sell it.

Hes too reliant on Embiid. Just say it how it is. Averaged 54 TS% without Embiid and 61 TS% with Embiid last season. It was obvious with no Embiid he was gonna struggle again. I guess when Paul George comes back Maxey will be somewhat more efficient cos PeeGee will be taking more shots so the defense wont be focused on Maxey no more.

The reality is...Maxey has not reached the STATUS of established stars yet (such as Embiid and PG) where he can get the benefit of doubt on foul calls. Lebron is a star, 1-2 extra steps no traveling call 🙂...Tatum, push off/shove-away with the off arm, no offensive foul... Maxey hasnt "paid his dues" yet, to get that kind of respect and...league "asset protection" 😂... Also, as a star, youre allowed a certain amount of LIP at the officials 😂...Maxey is gonna get T'd up. Scoring titles, 50-point games, tv commercial increase, Maxey has to work on that, to get "asset protection" 😂
