Here’s the thing with cast itches. They are actually unbearable. Like, bug bites are one thing, but the uncomfortableness of a cast itch is other-worldly, because not only is it itchy, but it also just feels gross. You haven’t washed it in months, and it’s really annoying on a hot day because the sweat drips down and agitates it. Yes, that’s all it take to make it itchy. One drop of sweat. No matter how much you don’t want to, you do it anyway, because if you do manage to itch it, it actually helps on the contrary to bites, which makes it even more addicting because it’s gonna itch, no matter what, so if it actually does work, you can’t stop.
