Cardinals fan here, eager to watch the breakout of Jackson Holliday. I hope he has a Rookie-of-the-Year season for Baltimore. Go Orioles!

I’m a Marylander who played at MD back in the ACC days. FSU had J.D Drew on their team my freshman year. Been living in Tampa for 10 years now. A coworker of mine played at LSU with Kevin Gausman. We went down to Sarasota and walked up to KG’s bullpen session. He was sitting 97 on the gun like it was nothing lol. Topped out at 99 that day. Mat is so right about everyone looking way bigger when you’re on the field next to them. Jackson is an exciting prospect. My uncle saw him in Bowie (AA) last year. I’m heading down to Sarasota next week!!

There are some people in the O’s organization that feel like Kjerstad will be the first player to hit the warehouse in an actual game. His power is consistent to all fields so he should have a nice career if healthy. In my opinion Henderson will also have a shot once his body fills out and he gets bigger. Go O’s!!!
@yonifinkelstein41010 ай бұрын
@@AntonelliBaseball Sure. He and Basallo have the best lefty power in the organization. Kjerstad's batting practices are famously spoken of.

I’ve been playing organized baseball since I was 7 and will be 45 soon after this season ends with me never missing an entire season. Been playing with our adult team for 22 years and counting. If you ever get better than average it’s a long season. I was/am a catcher and chose the position.

Kjerstad is going to be a great hitter for a long time. People forget he's only had 1 full season in the minors and he's already with the big league team. He's only played about 40 games more than Holliday in the minor leagues.

I enjoyed Camelback Ranch a lot. It gives a similar vibe this video does except everything is cactus instead of palm trees since it’s in AZ. I would imagine more restrictions because of Shohei this year, but it was very open. There were a ton of players out between both the Dodgers and White Sox. Goodyear Ballpark was fairly open as well. It just came across a lot more outdated. Salt River Field was nice too. But none of them hit like Camelback Ranch. Enjoyable video as always!

Orioles fan here from ancient times. I remember when spring training was literally needed for players to get in shape after being totally inactive in the offseason . Now I follow players like Alex Bregman, who shows the insane amount of offseason work needed to stay competitive. You should check out his channel.

Very interesting comment on addley taking mostly lefty hitting rounds. People saying you need to hit double the amount when a switch hitter. I’ve heard other people say 80% practice left and 20 right because that’s the ratio they will hit roughly. 80% left and 20 right.

Didn't Adley hit a 470 foot bomb last year left handed? I always thought he was better from the left side.

I was just saying his power in this BP was better right handed. It was a small sample. I have no clue what he did in games.

@@AntonelliBaseball I just looked up his splits. Looks like he is better as a righty. About the same power, but a much lower average batting from the left side. The HR I was thinking about came against the Twins before the all-star break. I think it was 460 or 470.

🙂 Orioles Reds and Cubs are stacked with minor league talent. You saw what happened with the Reds last year with their rookies. Jackson is a natural power hitter. Maybe he won't hit a ton of homers but he might be a great gap hitter.
@Tomasitooo10 ай бұрын
Other than Jackson Holiday Here’s another Orioles prospect to watch for, Samuel Basallo, Catcher with absurd hitting power, probably better than Adley. He should have been there too, last I checked he was on the spring training roster as an invite
