He was already very famous by the time he was 10 years old, Thriller was just when he went from a superstar to a superMEGA STAR!

before the Jackson 5 got known they were performing at clubs and parties and stuff like that, so when Michael was 5 joe took him and the others to a strip club to perform. Michael loves kids innocents because he was subjected to naked women, groupies, strip clubs, abuse, heartbreak all while he was still a kid, it really breaks my heart to even talk about.

❤ this one is so beautiful! Before ridiculous rumors, vitiligo, pepsi burn, accusations... so to answer your questions: yes the Thriller album came in 1982, so this was after. This home that he is in right now is not his ranch Neverland yet, he only bought it in 1988, this is the Jacksons family home Havenhurst. The song Buffalo Bill was never released and not even leaked as of now. The other song he mentioned, Liberian Girl was actually completed and released in his 1987 Bad album. He is singing the Peter Pan song! ❤ ("I'm Peter Pan, I can do anything, I soar so high...) Michael loved Peter Pan and said he could relate to him and that he was Peter Pan in his heart because he represents the youth that he never got to have, you know Peter Pan the boy who never wanted to grow up? Michael could relate to that because he was forced to grow up too fast and too early, he began performing at only 5 years old, no childhood! (Neverland makes a bit more sense now right?) And I'm not even getting into the abuse from his father which gave him major trauma for the rest of his life (he explains more about that in the 1993 Oprah interview by the way), but he was a sweet loving soul who loved to have fun and many people who knew him described him as a big kid, like a child in an adult's body, and you can see that! I loove his energy and I wish I could be his friend! No wonder children also wanted to be around him cause he acts just like one of them, that's just his personality, he never got to play and have fun as a child cause he had to work all the time, that's why he loved cartoons, amusememt parks, Mickey Mouse... so as an adult when he finally got the money the freedom and the oportunity he wanted to do that and recapture some of that and create the world of his dreams (his song Childhood expresses this and it's his most heartbreaking, personal and autobiographical song he ever wrote, he wrote it in an attempt to be understood), while also letting kids be happy and have the childhood he never had, but people didn't understand and judged him a lot, called him horrible names and it hurt him so much 😢😢 they took advantags of that and came up with these horrible allegations for money! He was so misunderstood! It's a shame what they put him through, but he is now flying high in heaven🕊🕊😥💕

I love how he says "pardon" too I noticed that he always asked that in interviews whenever he didn't understand a question or wanted someone to repeat it ❤

A few things! 1) The song when he sings "watch me flyyyy" is not anything I'm aware of being released. however the final line he sings "I am forever," is also from his song "The Toy" also known as "Best of Joy." "The Toy" was released in 2022 as a demo on Thriller 40, but an updated version Michael worked on later called Best of Joy" was released on a posthumous album in 2010. Either way the line "I Am Forever" gets me so much. Both version of the song are beautiful, but i'm partial to the early demo "The Toy" 2) Michael was one of 10 children. He was in the Jackson 5/Jacksons with his 5 brothers, and he has 3 sisters including Janet (who was a major pop star in her own right, LaToya who you see in this interview, and his oldest sister Rebbie. 3) The song Buffalo Bill that Michael mentions being excited on and claims will be a hit was never released 😭 4) PLEASE add to your reaction list the documentary "Humanitarian The Real Michael Jackson." It is incredible. You will be blown away when you learn how much of an amazing person he truly was. The more you get to know Michael, the more you will fall in love with him. For real. He is a divine spirit. He is beautiful, funny, generous, unbelievably talented, sexy, just every single thing. You said it - he has a totally different energy than anyone else. There is something so special and undefinable about him.

I was a teenager during this time when Michael was in his Thriller prime. It was a great time with no internet and no social media and no cell phones. I honestly wish Gen Z could experience the peace of that time. It wasn’t perfect but it was much better than things are now.

I mean I'm a gen z and I definitely remember a time where people and kids in my neighborhood weren't always inside playing video games or in cell phones, late 2000s and early 2010s until like 2013 the technology wasn't that advanced at least where I'm from and I only had my first ipad in like 2015, and computer time was limited, I also have 2 siblings so we had to share for a period of time each, I definitely remember my childhood playing outside with other kids and riding a bike etc and even I feel it definitely is so different now, we gen z are actually the last generation who got to actually enjoy a bit of childhood without internet fully taking over, the one after us are the ones I feel bad for. I can definitely imagine how it was in the 80s and 90s though, although I'm definitely grateful for the technology and the oportunity to watch these videos and being able to interact like we're doing now, it definitely seems boring now and people seem totally consumed by it, it's wild how much it changed just in the last decade. I would love to be able to time travel just see the atmosphere of the 80s for like a week lol

I really enjoyed this interview. MJ was very authentic and honest and it’s sad how ppl took advantage of his approach to happiness and joy. To know and understand him is to recognize that he was not like anyone else, he was on a whole different tier of stardom. No matter what, he stayed true to himself. Also, Janet is the youngest sibling who is currently doing a residency in Vegas.Shes an icon herself. Hope you eventually react to her catalogue

Omggg yesss thank you soo much I'm soo happy you watched this and enjoyed it!! This interview is my favorite of his, I have never seen him that free and open and happy in any other interview again! This is soo enlightening beautiful heartwarming genuine and soo inspirational! It makes me appreciate life and the little things more, I always come back to it when I feel down and it never fails to cheer me up!! And Michael, what an absolute sweetheart aww I want to hug him 😭🥰🥰 he's just so precious stoopp!! It's literally impossible to not love this man when you watch this!! Can you believe he is 25 years old here?? He's so special and sweet like a little kid full of life, and it's so rare to see ❤❤ now you understand why he liked children so much,.and yes it was in large part because of the loss of his own childhood and joy and innocence, and watching this it is just unbelievable and unthinkable that he would be capable of even thinking about harming anyone, let alone a child, in any way! What a pure soul ❤✨️✨️💕

I think everyone who doesn't know how Michael was as a person should watch this interview! "It's a wonderful day!! 🤗" 😭💗 how can someone be so adorable??? And the way he treats his llama so gently ♥️ this to me is his most free spontaneous interview, he's very comfortable and being his childlike sweet self ❤ while in most of his interviews he seems very shy and serious and more reserved (although he was naturally shy), it's great to see him express himself freely! But I can understand, people and the media started judging him a lot, and maybe he didn't feel comfortable to really be himself and they were expecting him to "act his age" maybe? And also he was in his home, a more familiar, comfortable place for him, surrounded by things he loved. Although there are some interviews where they do talk about his music and they are very respectful that I like a lot where he actually seems more relaxed (for example ebony jet 1987, 1999 mtv), most of them were very rude and asked ridiculous questions so I can see why he lost interest in doing interviews later on, it's like they didn't even listened to him, just wanted to go right to the next tsbloid question for ratings. Anyway it's really beautiful to see this and it's very rare, thank God we have this! He really seemed like such a warm person ❤ I love this time of his life the early 80s in particular cause he looked actually happy, well, happier than he ever was after this, and he was actually asked in a last interview for his 50th birthday when was he the happiest in his career and he said during Off The Wall (his first solo album as an adult 1979-1980) and Thriller, because he felt accepted by everyone and it was received beautifully ❤

This interview was never meant for public broadcast, i think someone leaked it years later, and yes the 80s was the best time to grow up in.. back then in the UK we only had 3 tv channels and MJ was so huge that his music videos were debuted as a special programme on our national television, like the normal programming stopped to show his new song and we all watched it, such different times ❤

@@slavetothebasset in the 90s in the US, they would premiere in primetime on all of the major channels, even the music video channels at the same time, fox, ABC, MTV, VH1, BET. Everyone would be around the TV watching him premiere his short films!

You bring such a smile to my face. I had to add another comment bc I almost spit my drink out laughing at your innocence. We had phones in the 80s!!! What do you think this is, silly?!? Lol. They were attached to the wall and had a long cord so you could walk from one room into the very next room. And get this.... After 9pm, you could make long distance calls at a cheaper rate! Long distance was anything outside of your state. I'm from Philly and my uncle lives in Jersey and my one set of gparents lived in Cali. I could only ever talk to them on the phone after 9pm. You wanna know what we did without technology? We talked to each other. We had engaging conversations. We laughed. We told stories. We sang songs. We listened to music and we danced. We would stay up all night listening to the Top 100 on the radio, waiting to record our favorite new MJ or Debbie Gibson song onto a cassette tape. But inevitably, we’d have to step away to use the bathroom, only to miss the song and feel crushed because we wouldn’t have another chance to record it for days. We appreciated being with one another. We used our imaginations and came up w games to play that made no sense. We played outside from the second we were done school and homework until the sun went down. We played Big Bear, and Freedom, and Manhunt. We took walks and we rode our bikes EVERYWHERE! We knew if it was getting dark, that we needed to get home. Our parents had no idea where we were or what we were up to for a good 5-6 hours a day after school. A PSA (public service announcement) commercial would literally come on TV every night at 10pm that said, "Parents, it's 10 o'clock. Do you know where your children are?" The 80s werr a time of peace, and trust, and honestly the best most innocent fun ever. I feel sorry for kids today bc I think my generation (1982) was one of the last ones to truly experience the joy, imagination and freedom that the 80s provided to us. I wouldn't trade what I had for anything in the world. The kid I was in the 80s would have absolutely hated growing up in this world.

Except Louie there was Mr. Tibbs the ram I think the dancing in a cloud..watch me now.. is mostly written by him since he was to star in a Peter pan musical directed by Steven Spielberg in 1983. about the dawn and dusk being more creatively inspiring is that - i will say that just the other day i had this amazing edit idea with the "Ma Meilleure Ennemie" Arcane song in mind(with what scene went where in the song melody as i imagine) and sometimes get my drawing ideas after dusk, at around midnight. i remember getting my first phone at 13-4 in 2016 being LGl21 sometime i really miss those days, they were better days..we used to play tag so much, hide n seek, Monopoly as well, riding our bikes and scooters around the town... I was lucky enough to play in a water balloon fight, I'll never forget it - it was hilarious! Now that I think about it - I think Mike really would have liked the LOTR elves
