Firefighter here, the type of extinguisher you where referring to CEE is called a CO2 extinguisher. It is a fire extinguisher based on simply removing oxygen from the fire. The fire triangle are the 3 main components of a fire (removing one of the sides of the triangle removes the fire) that would be fuel, oxygen (the side the CO2 removes) and heat. There are many kinds of extinguishers most common are water, ABC (the ones you fine most places), K (kitchen aka restaurants for grease fires) and CO2. Another good difference of a CO2 extinguisher is the nozzle (the end piece) is going to look massive like a bit bigger than an exhaust on a car. That’s to spread it out more and is not to be used without a breathing apparatus in a confined space. Using them outside is fine however as the CO2 would have lots of places to escape to.

Bay Leaves DO indeed change the flavor of food. My dad and I, when we cook something with gravy on it, add some bay leaves and it gives it a slightly richer flavor, a slight bitterness that's more of a tangy flavor. But it can be overpowering if too many are dropped in.

Yes, bailiffs change the taste of food. They are literally a spice and they ad flavor I've accidentally eaten one I do not suggest it. It felt like broken glass in my throat. Also I have the ability to just smell food and tell what it needs to add flavor without tasting. They're not a garnish bailiffs. I meani, mean, they can be used like that. Just like basil and chives, but they have other purposes as well. Also, chocolate adds a rich creamy flavor to certain stocks and soups. Like I was a dumb kid who would eat chocolate with fried Chicken. And I stand by this a brownie and fried Chicken are peak. I stand by that.
