The stalker subplot was so pointless. They should have had him show up and terrorise the girls for a bit in an attempt to get to Maria but suddenly he's unceremoniously killed by Pooh and Piglet and right when the girls think they've been rescued they now have to deal with the two of them

There was potential for this to work if they really tried and took this seriously, but obviously, they just wanted to make some quick cash off the ip. Thats why the scenes are drawn out like that.
