Even in Italy there're these "supermarkets" associated with petrol stations on the motorways and the prices are really exorbitant, I don't think I've ever bought anything there.

When I was a little girl in England Petrol stations stocked parts for cars. You could even buy a set of tyres if you needed to. Everything for a car on the road. We have these Petrol stations/ supermarkets here in New Zealand, but we very rarely visit them. Jane in New Zealand 🇬🇧🇳🇿

I love UK gas stations. The wine selection is usually really good too. Much better than in Canada ❤❤

You need to do a shop in Boots! I wish we had something like Boots in the US. I do think your petrol station stores have a much better selection of food stuff than we do. Definitely similar to convenience store pricing here though. 1.75 for Heinz Beanz would be good compared to here, since they are imported I'm paying $4.49 a tin.

The Buckees fuel stations are like s Walmart here in the south. Its crazy, long. Lines and over stimulating when traveling. We also have Wawa in the US..

Seeing the salad reminds me of someone's video where they got food in Harrods, and the salad was only £9 (I expected it to be more!) and it was apparently extremely delicious. Have you eaten from Harrod's food?

Convenience stores do not buy in the volume of larger stores such as Costco or Walmart. They have to buy in smaller amounts, since most do not have the space to store large amounts of products. Also people are paying for the convenience of being able to shop there when the regular stores are closed for the day, and they need something. I have 2 such stores near me, and their prices are not too outlandish. They cater to truckers mostly. (Jan Griffiths).

Very expensive! Handy if you need an item on the way home but not to go to do regular shopping! I have not been in one here. We do have them though I don’t know whether they are as extensively stocked. Thank you for the video!

I would be apprehensive to eat salmon poky so close to expiration. To know it was moved an extra time gives it another chance to grow bacteria.

I agree but it’s spelled poke.

@@TS-xn1mc It is generally considered rude to publicly correct someone's grammar or spelling on social media. There are a few reasons for this: It can come across as pedantic and condescending, even if that's not the intent. People often see it as an unnecessary criticism rather than a helpful suggestion. Grammar and spelling mistakes are common, especially in the more casual context of social media. Most people are not writing formal documents, so a few errors are understandable and forgivable. Publicly calling out someone's mistakes can be embarrassing for them, especially if they are self-conscious about their writing abilities. This can damage their confidence and discourage them from participating in online discussions. There are usually better ways to address grammar or spelling issues, such as sending a private message to the person or providing feedback in a constructive manner. Public corrections are seen as more about the corrector showing off their own skills rather than genuinely trying to help. The better approach is to focus on the substance of what someone is communicating, rather than getting hung up on minor technical errors. Grammatical perfection is not required for meaningful exchanges on social media. As long as the message is clear, it's usually best to overlook small mistakes and respond to the content itself.

@@nexx1 I’m not reading five paragraphs. Poke is a cultural dish native to Hawaii and it’s pronounced poké not poky so I made a harmless suggestion to educate you on another culture. It’s not my fault you took it personally and got embarrassed instead.

@@TS-xn1mc Stop being rude by serving pedantic comments. It’s 7 paragraphs perhaps you never learn to count. How embarrassing for you. Touch grass. Get a life. Now I know your intentions behind your comments. It is a comment section not a college essay.

I live in US and enjoy my yearly trips to the UK. The markets there are SO much better! The higher price paid in the petrol station is certainly for convenience but still SO much better than what is available in the Southern part of the US.

our convenience stores here in canada don't have nearly as much in variety of foods, and what they do have is at least double the store prices. Store prices are already really high.. gas station stores are out of question 🥲
